Re: Would You Trade Torry Holt?
This is a sacriligious question of a Rams fan, how dare you
Holt will always be a Ram, and even if this was a realistic scenario (which it isn't by any means) and this did happen, I'd lose all respect for the FO and wish we had Mike Martz back as a head coach.
Always and Forever a fan of the St. Louis Rams

Re: Would You Trade Torry Holt?
I'd do it if we could get all the players we wanted from the chicago bears off of their defense and all of their draft picks for the next two years. And since there is no humanly way that would ever happen then the answer is NO

Re: Would You Trade Torry Holt?
Guys, i appreciate that we are all fans. All i am going to say is that think about the reaction if anyone has thought about trading kurt warner in 2002. Two years later he was gone anyway.

Re: Would You Trade Torry Holt?
first, all of you guys that are saying Holts the greatest ram, sorry that title belongs to Isaac Bruce, second do you all remember what they did to Bruce last season, they CUT him, there were no guarantees he would come back to the rams,so what makes you think they won't do the same to Holt in 2 or 3 years, i doubt it could happen but you should at least listen to such a deal if it's out there.

Re: Would You Trade Torry Holt?
No doubt, JK. I respect the possibilities of anyone in a serious brainstorm and I am well aware that losing our superstar WR Torry Holt could happen. Of course! Suffice to remember Eric Dickerson leaving the Rams (although that trade took place under very different circumstances).
It's just that I found the Mike Martz' response of a few years ago to a sports reporter* was applicable to my feeling of losing Holt. And I hope that does not occur now that our offense is beginning to produce and that we've just lost Kevin Curtis!

Re: Would You Trade Torry Holt?
That last statement is moot anyway Facing-the-Giants, because no GM who likes his job would even listen to such a foolish proposition.
OK guys, I accept the fact that proposing a trade for such a beloved fan-favorite tugged on a some heart strings. But for all that he's done, he still is not untradeable.
This is still a business first, therefore it is not outside the realm of possibility.
And finally Avenger, chances are that if you have draft picks when the draft comes around, you are probably going to draft one of those hyped up players every year anyway.

Re: Would You Trade Torry Holt?
trading away Holt would have a knock on effect on the whole squad....not only would we lose the greatest WR in the NFL today, with great leadership and team ethic qualities but the rest of the players would think...hey what have i gotta do round here to gain loyalty,im off to philly or whatever..... we wouldn`t just be losing holt which is a huge just by the way!
whats next trade our souls to the devil for a second round pick off cleveland??
i know its pre-draft and we all a lil excited about the possibilities but come on!

Re: Would You Trade Torry Holt?
If it's a trade with the Lions like they said, their GM is Matt Millen. Catch my drift? That last statement is moot anyway Facing-the-Giants, because no GM who likes his job would even listen to such a foolish proposition.
