It wouldn't surprise me if Bradford is.....
a Redskin before it's all said and done draft day. McNabb only has one year left on his contract and the Rams are sorely needing more than just a QB. Who better than to trade with than Daniel Snyder? He's like the kid who wants the chocolate pudding so you trade him your pudding for his autograph football of the Rams.
I think this Bradford scenario will just show Rams Nation how skilled Devaney is as the GM. It would shock me more if Bradford is a Ram than a Redskin.

Then why are the Redskins already looking at extending his contract? And what would they give us? They only have four draft picks left and it their second highest pick is in the 4th round..

Man, tx, you're gonna have McNabb and Bradford under the same roof come heck or high water, aren't ya?

They still have their first rounder and Daniel Snyder prints money so that's not an issue either. Especially if the salary cap doesn't come back which no one has guaranteed it will.

Ahhh maybe it's the IRS code that my mug has been stuck in since January that's clouded my judgment but that scenario wouldn't surprise me.

Re: It wouldn't surprise me if Bradford is.....
Just sayin....with the flux at ownership (especially if Kronke sells) do they really want to shell out #1 money when Snyder would love to?

Re: It wouldn't surprise me if Bradford is.....
Not sure how many times Rams brass has to say ownership doesn't have a say in who they draft....
But of course you can figurte their lying, but i dont knwo how you can formulate us trading the pick out of desperation to save a few dollars...
Thats the anti winning formula and doesn't make too much sense...
The question really is: Do they really want to pass on the top guy on their board to save some a few dollars? Especially when its not even coming out of their pockets...

Re: It wouldn't surprise me if Bradford is.....
The problems with this scenario are where we would land (a) and who is speculated to be there (b). At the number 4 spot, we will undoubtedly lose out on both of the top DTs, and of course Bradford. This leaves us with probably Berry, Haden, your favorite OT and Jimmy Clausen. I guess you could throw in Dez Bryant too. The only way I could remotely see this happening is if the FO is really, really high on Jimmy Clausen. And I haven't seen much to indicate that yet.

Re: It wouldn't surprise me if Bradford is.....
I think you guys are missing the point here. The Rams just wouldn't take this years Number 1 they would have to get next years also for this scenario to work. Sorry, didn't really spell that out but I assumed everyone knew that it wouldn't just be a one for one swap. It really doesn't matter though semantically because this isn't a semantics thread. It's a bottom line thought of mine. However, with as much B S that get's slung around the draft I didn't want to be left out.

Re: It wouldn't surprise me if Bradford is.....
I would bet on the Cleveland Browns to trade up with the Rams before Washington.
The Browns have more picks to trade up with and need a QB of the future. The Browns signed QB J. Delhume with a two year contract only.
The back up QB Seneca Walles is a half way decent QB but not the future.
I just worry about falling down that far in the draft to # 7. They better get alot of picks.
