Re: WRs out there (FA) that fit our system and worth a look
If Braylon Edwards dropped his bad habits as much as he dropped passes he might be worth a look.

The more I think about it...The more I think a trade for Mike Wallace would be perfect for us.
Our 1.6 <-> Mike Wallace + 1.24
Then we can use that 24th overall pick on another WR or an offensive lineman, or a defensive lineman, or a cornerback, or a running back...list goes on and on.

Re: WRs out there (FA) that fit our system and worth a look
Plaxico last year 8 TDs > (Entire Rams WRs 8 TDs) - (5 TDs by Lloyd Pats signed)
The Rams returning WRs only had 3 TDs and that is if they keep DX who had 2. Gibson had the only other TD by our WRs.
I wouldn't mind signing Plaxico to a one year cheap contract and getting a WR in Round 1 or 2. Plaxico could help for 1 year while taking some pressure off the rookie and Bradford.Last edited by RamsSB99; -03-19-2012 at 10:24 PM.

Re: WRs out there (FA) that fit our system and worth a look
I like the idea of signing Doucet. If anything, he can be Danny's backup and replacement if/when he goes down from injury.
What about getting T.O for vet min? With the Bengals he was still a good Wr; he seems to have finally matured the past few seasons.
Another Wr to look at would be to just look at Wr's who could be on their way out due to new signings etc. Chad Ochocinco would be worth trading a 6th or 7th for. He was subject to the complete oposite way of reading the D making the routes compared to the Bengals numbers system. His few catches over the season (Jets Game particularly) have shown he still has the skillset.

I forgot about Legedu Naanee. I wouldn't mind picking him up either.
While all 5 guys are nothing special, sad to say, they could upgrade our WRs. We don't really have anyone that can play outside and we can't be certain we'll draft a WR if the FO decides to draft based on value instead of need. If we do end up drafting WRs we could always cut these guys later.

I actually like the idea of Naanee. He's not the typical WR, but I'm curious to see what Schotty could do with someone of his versatility. Also, I'm a sucker for a WR that will actually block a defender.
