Well here is our Guy... Leonard Davis just got cut by the cowboys. He can still play ball, just simply was a cap casuality for the Cowboys... The article i got this news from says that Davis ranks in the top 10 Guards in the Pro Football Focus. Take that with a grain of salt,obviously.

I just say that as well and was about to post it. I am all for it IF we can sign him to a reasonable contract. He is getting up there in age, so I don't want to pay him like he is just reaching his prime. If we can agree to an age appropriate contract, then I am all for him. He is exactly the road grading guard that we were looking for. Not a long term solution, but it might be a good stop gap.

Rich Seubert is getting released and might be another name to look at, for the same kind of situation.

Seems like there will be a lot of quality guards available, would be disappointed if Goldberg is starting on week one.

Granted, all the teams that lose a guard will also be in the market for their replacement, so it goes both ways I suppose.

Davis turns 33-years-old this fall. He may still be playing well, but how long does that last? I'd rather go with someone younger who may be around in 2-3 years.

SO basically what your saying is that you want your cake and eat it too! You want someone who will come cheap yet be a great up&coming player in the league. Not too many of those type of players. If your an up&comer in this league your going to command top dollar.

Who exactly are you talking about here? The only over paid player on the line is Bell. All the others (Smith, Brown, Saffold) are proving their worth
