i visited the 9/11 memorial in new york city last week. It was truly an unforgetable experience. Tickets are free, its about a six week wait to get them. I lost a friend on 9/11 and found his name engraved in the granite about the north tower pool. It's a very tranquil and moving memorial to the thousands that lost their lives and i highly recommend that anyone travelling to nyc make an effort to visit.

While it looks beautiful on tv, its just not the same as visiting in person.
