Anyone else have the flu this year?

I am back at work today after being virtually flat on my back for almost a week. I was sick as a dog for two weeks, but as usual, refused to go to the doctor until it was absolutely necessary.

I was down for the count earlier this year, for a couple of days. I only seem to get in once a year though, so that's fortunate.

Right now there are three of us here who are sick. I got sick first, so I am closer to being back to normal...relatively speaking.

Whatever it is, it's fierce. First, you get a cough, then a few days later, the snot comes. Eventually, you have no energy to do anything but sleep. Then, for the next three weeks or so, you do nothing but cough up chunks of lung tissue...

Of course, I can't take anything for this crap because it interacts with the heart medications I am on....ARRGGGGH....and the worst part of it all? I work in a hospital! Go Figure!
