ok guys, its a boring offseason and to help pass time i made this thread, i was just wondering if anyone here plays any instraments? i play the piano by ear(i cant read music) but im pretty good at it, and i can play a little bit of drums. so what instraments do you play?

I play Drums, Guitar, Bass, and took a piano class in school...got an A in it so I guess I'm alright at Piano too.

I played piano for most of my childhood, but not since leaving for college. I must admit, I'm tempted to clear out some space in the living room for a piano.

I play some on the harmonica. I have done some vocals before for a local band (they needed someone who could rap a little bit, so they asked me, worked out pretty decent). I can also make it look like I almost know what I'm doing on guitar (mostly electric), but I really have no clue what the heck I'm doing.

you know you really should clear some space out, i took lessons when i was about 7 for like 2 years, then i quit for 7 years and i got back into it a couple of months back and i go on youtube and look up tutorials for songs and i learn a new song almost every other day, my latest song i can play is "what ive done" by linkin park, listen to the piano and thats what i can play

As a kid I played piano for a while, but not by my choice -- my parents made the choice. Learned to read music, but never learned to sight read as for most people that requires a whole lot of experience. If any of you have ever had the opportunity to play with true studio musicians, you'll know what I mean. Those guys can come in sit down look over a few pages of sheet music they have never played or in some cases never even heard before, and play it right off the bat ... Fiddled around with guitar for a while and ultimately ended up playing the congas. Heard some folks jammin at a park about 40 yrs ago and just had to give it a try. Bought my first one at a pawn shop and had it for several years until it disappeared after a raid at Charlie Mansons place. (Yes I knew Charlie before he did what he did, but that's another story ...) When I moved to Hawaii in 1970 I soon missed playing and flew back to California to buy some drums and bring them back to Maui. Ended up playing in various bands in the seventies and eighties, accumulating four drums (Quinto, super quinto, conga and tumba). I still have my drums but don't have room to keep them set up anymore, however, that could change in the not too distant future ... A Clan Ram band ... that might be fun. I wonder if our fearless leader can play the bagpipes ??

Back in high school, I played clarinet, tenor sax, percussion and was also in the choir. Now? Not so much... A little karaoke now and then.
