I just went to the notre dame archives, and it says Rudy Rutiger recorded a tackle in the final seconds of the final game of the 1976 season. Georgia Tech, I belive, so either there's some kind of conspiracy or he got in a game in the final seconds that was over, after the masses chanted r-u-d-y.

Well judging from the movie, he was'nt exactley loved by the other players. Alot of them probably thought he did'nt deserve to be on the sidlines. Not to mention a little jelaous after a major motion picture was made about him.
