Blue And Gold Dahlia
60 years ago THE "BLACK DAHLIA" AKA Elizabeth Short was brutally murdered and dismembered in Los Angeles, California, January 15, 1947.
The Los Angeles Rams had just wrapped up their 1st year in the city with a (6-4-1) record.
Elizabeth Short's body was found cut in half, in the Crenshaw district of Los Angeles, on the 3800 block of Norton Ave., between 39th street and Coliseum Street.
Coliseum Street leads directly to the actual Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, where the Los Angeles Rams played their home games. The distance from the crime scene to the stadium is roughly a 5 minute drive. The "Black Dahlia" case has yet to be solved. (COINCIDENCE?)
70 years ago the Cleveland Rams began their 1st year in the National Football League, in the midst of the infamous "Torso Murders", in the same fashion as the "Black Dahlia" case, 13 bodies were found either dismembered or beheaded in the Cleveland area by an apparent serial killer between 1935 and 1938.
The famed 'Untouchable' Eliott Ness headed the investigation into these murders with no luck in solving the cases.
The Cleveland Rams finished that 1st season with a dismal (1-10-0) record.
The Rams played their home games at Cleveland's Municipal Stadium; however, the next season in 1938, the team played their home games at Shaw Stadium, which was basically a high school field, only to return to Municipal Stadium the following year in 1939. (COINIDENCE?)
In 1994 The Los Angeles Rams Began their final season in the city, shortly after the brutal murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman on June 12, 1994.
The Rams finished the season with a (4-12-0) record, capping 49 year history in the city with a 24-21 loss to the Washington Redskins at Anaheim Stadium in front of only 33,000 diehard Ram fans.
The Brown Simpson/ Goldman case is still unsolved. (COINCIDENCE?)
No coincidences to report from the Rams new home in Saint Louis, but as History tends to repeat itself, it would be in everyones best interest, as far as the Rams are concern....toWATCH YOUR BACKS!!!
Re: Blue And Gold Dahlia
I think Kevin Costner could star in an Oliver Stone movie where they could bore us for 3 hours while failing to unravel the mystery....
