Corpse Bride does have a similar look to Nightmare before Christmas (which was a good movie), but its not complete musical like Nightmare was. Its actually based on a Russian/Jewish Folk Legend.

My guess why people like tim burton because of his creativness as a director. I could be wrong but just an observation.

I saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory this weekend and I thought it was hilarious. Depp did a great job of being Willy Wonka. He was a bit odd, definitely unsocialized, sarcastic, a little jaded, and sensitive at times. I think the kids were cast well, but the grandparents were the ones that had my laughing the most.

They did a great job with all those nasty teeth. I could not help but notice the teeth throughout the movie. I liked the addition of Willy Wonka's childhood so that you could understand him better.

I give it two thumbs up. :up: :up:

I like Pearl Jam even with Eddie Vedder's politically charged lyrics. I like Depp's movies despite his views.

That said the new Willie Wonka looks very strange. I think it'll do just fine in the box office though.

I've heard it said that the Wonka movie is best viewed having ingested a substance whose effect is facilitated through the use of a product called something eerily similar to your screen name.

And I agree, Zig - despite his politics, Depp's role in Pirates was a absolute classic.
