Re: Earth Quake
It was small but we live in Green Valley. Dead silent. Dogs quiet, birds quiet.
Bay Area peeps, be on the watch.

Re: Earth Quake
Not to worry. Just Carroll turning over in his grave. Or was it Bill Walsh?
TO had more yards for Dallas vs The Whiners today than the whole Ram offense; 213 vs 207.
Quakes, shmakes; let me know when the Mississippi floods & washes away Rams Park.
Seriously though, glad you're ok. Didn't feel a thing in The City.

Re: Earth Quake
All is fine. Jerry is in the city and didn't feel it either. Got my flash light and wrench to turn off gas if something bigger happens.

Re: Earth Quake
Could it be an early warning: Rams coming back to So. California?

Re: Earth Quake
Cali, Cali, Cali....
Quakes are a way of life here! You had only a 2.8!
We have enough to worry about with our Rams being mired in their funk, we don't need to invent stuff to worry about!!
I bet the sun still rises in the East tomorrow!RnD
GO RAMS!!

Re: Earth Quake
caligirl, caligirl, caligirl....
First let me say that I'm glad you and your loved ones are okay.
...but a 2.0 magnitude earthquake? You can't be a California native. That barely got the seismic needle moving. You're not one of those that scream and duck for cover at the first sign of a mover, like my relatives from Nebraska when they come out to visit, are U?
Cracks me up to watch them run and duck for cover at the first sign of a shake. I'm going about my business and they're hiding in the doorway like they're holdin' it up or something. ...I guess they feel more threatened 'cuz there's no cellar to hide in here in So Cal....
Again, glad you're okay. If you look at the map, (I have the same map in my bookmarks) you'll realize that we have hundreds of those each month. Nothing to get too excited about.
Much like our Rams.Faithful Rams fan since 1968

Re: Earth Quake
I felt it darn it! Now, being shaken for 15 seconds is no big deal, but I am home alone. (No, I need no company Red),.........That said, I thought you were suppose to turn off your gas in the event you have a big one that shakes you out of your house. Jerr is a foreman with PG&E, although not the gas department. ....(Well, he does have gas, but he will dispute that)......So , isn't turning off the gas a better option than leaving it on?
Don't worry, Jerry told me how, but my neighbor will do it for me as I didn't understand Jerr.
I do have the wrench, I just do not know how to use said wrench. I do have a flash light, and that I know how to use.
Yes, I can be dumb,.......no secret there...............but I drive one mean big truck. (I can put gas in it also).
Thanks for the laugh guy's, just waiting for baby girl to get home.Last edited by CaliGirlRamsFan; -11-24-2008 at 03:26 AM.

Re: Earth Quake
We had a slight earth quake here the other day. It only shook for about four seconds.
Oh Cali, not all girls are dumb, and not all females like the drive little cars. The lady I work with drives a truck which she can't even climb into. ha ha
Stay safe. I'm hungry.
