    The very first Star Wars was one I'll always remember. Lately, can't beat the Lord of the Rings. Worst sci-fi movie had to be the 80's version of Flash Gordon with the soundtrack from Queen.

    I think that the best of the five (so far) Star Wars movies, the best was The Empire Strikes Back.


    For fantasy, you can't beat the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

    But, I have to give a nod to Ray Harryhausen for being the one, before the advent of computer animation, who was able to bring so many monsters to life in movies such as Jason and the Argonauts, the Sinbad movies, and Clash of the Titans. Amusing footnote - if you watch the Pixar movie "Monsters, Inc." you'll notice that the monsters work in Harryhausen Factory.
