Re: Give me your top 5

In no particular order...

System of a Down
Nirvana [no "grunge" or "goth," thank you]
Static-X
R.E.M.
Elliott Smith

Those would be my all time favorites, as of now, but there are a lot of different CDs going through rotation that I'm starting to get into... Atmosphere, Aesop Rock, The Roots, Serart, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, and Billy Bragg and Wilco.

Hmm, what is this decade that you speak of...the "60's". I believe I read about them in one of the historical archives, but I have no first-hand knowledge. Maybe one of you elders can inform us.

I mean, I thought life began in the 70's. Weren't we all just amoebas before then?

It really is hard to narrow down since I love music and going to concerts, but these were the first to come to my mind:

1) Van Halen
2) Journey
3) Bon Jovi
4) Aerosmith
5) Toby Keith

Well, I was born in 1968, so I don't remember the 60s music when it was first released, but my earliest memories of popular music are my parents playing Simon & Garfunkle when I was a kid.

At that time were you crossing a bridge over troubled water on your way to Scarborough Fair?

Nothing wrong with youth, brother. Hang on to it while you got it. We lose a little bit of it every day....except of course for Michael Jackson. Oh that's not right. Lord, I apologize for that, and be with the starving pygmys in New Guinea, amen.
