Heros--TV's new shows
Has anyone got into any of the new shows out this season?? I am hooked on the new NBC drama Heros. What an awesome show. It is almost a spin off of the old comic book X-Men. It has me hook, line and sinker. Anyone as intrigued as I? You get a chance there are episodes you can watch on NBC.com. Great show!
Others that got my attention
Friday Night Lights
Head of the Class
Jericho

Re: Heros--TV's new shows
I've been watching Heros, RW. I like it. There are alot of twists and turns that keep me interested.
I also like Friday Night Lights and Studio 60."...and a great new warrior emerged from the many, to carry the torch, and his name was Rammin' Jackson...and a new era had begun! Bring on the battles to come, he screamed!"

Re: Heros--TV's new shows
Havent seen Studio 60. I have heard mixed reviews.
Heros reminds me a lot of Lost when it first came out. And what is really nice about it, it is something new. Not this crime scene, law and order, ER BS.

Re: Heros--TV's new shows
Friday Night Lights is good!! That other new QB has attidude, Those Cheerleaders are hot!! Is that former starting QB's girlfriend still cheating on him with his best friend? But that's sad, she cheating on a guy that has a messed up back and he has a possibility of never walking again. I didnt see it this week... Heroes is good but I'm a bit confused because I didnt see the last two episodes, Save the cheerleader? I thought she couldnt die because she was in a car accident and she had cuts and a broken leg on that video she had. And she recovered from it in 1 minute. and she also stuck her hand down the shredding machine in the kitchen sink and she lost a finger, but it grew BACK!

Re: Heros--TV's new shows
I've caught Heroes off and on. Looks intriguing but I'm not sure how much staying power a show like that has (as well as something like The Nine).
I've been watching Studio 60 and if you liked the West Wing you'll enjoy it. Same kind of feel and intellectual dialogue, just based around an SNL-like show instead.
It isn't a new show, but if you aren't watching Battlestar Galactica, there's no way you qualify as any kind of sci-fi fan. That's easy been one of the best shows on television over the last three years and is once again having an amazing season.

Re: Heros--TV's new shows
I've reached a point where I watch very few shows on a regular basis. My list of "must see" shows is down to three:
Prison Break (best show on TV right now, in my opinion)
Smallville
Supernatural
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Heros--TV's new shows
I missed the first two seasons bt my friend had it on dvd so I borrowed them and watched them all in a week. THey were so good I couldn't stop watching. Much sleep was lost and work suffered that week.
My favorite shows:
Battlestar Galactica
Lost (plot line getting lamer though)
The Unit
NCIS
CSI (original only)
Smallville
Supernatural
American Chopper
America's Deadliest Catch
UFC shows on Spike TV
King of Queens
Scrubs

Re: Heros--TV's new shows
Have to say I agree with you on this. I've been rather disappointed with the third season thus far, and I thought they really put in a minimal effort to get people excited about the show before taking their huge break until next spring. I have a feeling they're going to lose some viewers.

Re: Heros--TV's new shows
I used to watch the original Battle Star Gallactica 10 or 15 years ago. What makes the new one so good? My friend loves it. He says its one of the best shows on TV.
Since I haven't seen one episode of the new show, any ideas how I might be able to catch up from the beginning? Do they have them out on DVD? Even then, it seems it would be quite expensive to rent them. Open to suggestions."...and a great new warrior emerged from the many, to carry the torch, and his name was Rammin' Jackson...and a new era had begun! Bring on the battles to come, he screamed!"

Re: Heros--TV's new shows
The new one is just fantastic in both production and story telling. I haven't seen much of the original series but my impression from those who have is that it doesn't compare at all in terms of tone and feel. The show is a very serious drama with great acting and a judicious use of special effects.
First and second seasons are both out on DVD. The first season discs start with a miniseries that I think is around three hours but it really kick started everything. Basically just a really long first episode, but I mention it only so you don't think the mini-series is something else should you see it in the stores.
