Hot dog condiments
What do you eat on your hot dog?
Mustard and kraut here.
I am considering having a baked bean and saurkraut eating contest with some of my friends. Anyone want to enter?

Re: Hot dog condiments
Chopped onions and spicy mustard, or... for a different taste, the universal condiment: BBQ Sauce!

Ketchup, mustard and onions. If chili is available, then chili, mustard, onions and cheese.

Re: Hot dog condiments
It depends on what kind of frank, and how it is cooked. Around here they seem to like Chicago-style hot dogs which are typically steamed or boiled (ech!). In Connecticut, the hot dogs tend to be split and cooked on a griddle or open flame. Unlike burger, I like my broiled hot dogs overdone, on a toasted New England style bun, with grilled onions, relish, mustard and . . . ketchup (yes, the ketchup part is a misdemeanor in 12 states and a felony in three others). Hunts Barbeque sauce is also a quick and dirty sub, I'll second AR on that.

Re: Hot dog condiments
It depends on my mood.
Sometimes, just tobasco and salt. (great when you have a hangover)
Deep fried Polish sausage smothered in deli mustard and white onions.......mmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Or, a "Bahama Mama" (A Branson thing...). It's a Polish Sausage smothered with Jalepenos, chili, horseradish, cheese, and Bermuda Onions. Just chase it with a cold beer and lots of Rolaids...

Re: Hot dog condiments
I'll usually eat a hot dog plain, or with hot sauce, sometimes though I'll take ketchup.
Don't eat them too often either, I'm more of a burger kind of guy.

No thanks. I would only be a spectator, and ONLY if there were gas masks available and a CDC Decontamination team on the premises.
