For her 7th birthday party, my niece Zoey asked her mom if she could do something different. She'd rather have donations made to the Humane Society in lieu of presents because the animals need things more than she does. This was a completely selfless act on her part and I couldn't be more proud to call this wonderful little girl my niece.
Her birthday isn't until Oct. 31st but her party was held the other day.. lots of kids showed up and lots of donations were made!! Here is a pic of the donations.

As you can see, there was alot of donations made!!! Those animals are in desperate need and just one little girl was able to do all of this. Amazing!!!
The best part of all.. They are going to deliver a check and these donations to the Humane Society today.. and little does Zoey know, but there will be a camera crew there to meet her from a local news station to cover her story for a segment they call "Sevens Heroes". I will post a link to the story as soon as it airs and is online.
I am so proud of my beautiful niece. She's such a special girl! If we just had more people like her, it'd really make a huge difference.

Ahh! Thanks RR, she is indeed a special little girl for doing what she did, but she has some great parents.

My brother in law Jeff said it should be in the news next Sunday. If the tape deplicts her name, town and state, I won't be comfortable posting it. Once I see it I will figure out something.
I don't think you guy's care if I post it or not, (Don't blame you), so we shall see.

So proud of her. I checked with my Brother-in-law to see if I could post it, and he said no problem, it's in the news anyway's.

They are all picture friendly, except for "Muaa", as you know. We do take many pics of family, It's all about the memories. Zoey did not know the camera crew was going to be there, and my sister Pami made this all happen.
It was a utter surprise to Zoey, and my sister Kymmie. Zoey was very shy, and my sister Kymmie did a good job with crews in front of her face.
Very proud of Zoey Bug. Great parenting.

Thank you for the comment, and I share your thoughts. My daughter gave up her allowance, (and money Uncle Squishy (BRM) gives her) for the cause, and Jerr and I sent a little more than we usually do for her birthday.
