If you would like to add something to this thread, please do so. However, I see no need for the personal attack quoted here, Coy. Define me how you will. AV's thread defined a group. I agreed with that definition for a certain group. You have now singled out one individual for your own definition....namely me. There's a difference, Coy.

So as long as it's done with "flair" or you find amusement from it, unjustified personal shots are okay......interesting, I'll make a note. And you're so ready to speak for everyone, yet I'm the one with "self-righteous indignation".....another interesting note.

Here's an idea, you don't like what I have to say, fair enough.....don't read my posts. Hopefully, that will answer the problem of me "pulling you down".

Anything else I can help you with, let me know. I am your servant.

Re: Meanwhile, at the Hall of Naysayers...

    Main Entry: nay·say·er
    Pronunciation: 'nA-"sA-&r, -"se(-&)r
    Function: noun
: one who denies, refuses, opposes, or is skeptical or cynical about something

Labeling someone a naysayer is a slippery slope because we ALL at some time or another fit the definition. To never be a naysayer would be foolish and naive IMO. Yes, the argument can be made that some are much more critical than others, but that's what makes this such a great place, diversity of opinion.

In jest or satirical, we all know that threads like this will almost always gravitate away from light-hearted discussion, it's inevitable. No one should be surprised when it happens. Tx taught me that.

Meanwhile, at the Hall of Naysayers...-beer-pictures-t27.jpg
I believe that definition also fits people who refuse to accept when something is broke. So actually an optimist that refuses to see wrong in things can be considered a Naysayer. That definition sounds a lot like some one that would refuse to see the good in other ClanRam members and then post something mocking them and call it satire. Then when some one approaches them with satire they get all upset.

Good point STLRAMSFAN. A perfect example of the diversity of opinion that makes this place great.

Yea, that must be quite a burden to bear.

So, in your opinion, a person who, when asked to say "nay," responds by saying "nay, I won't say nay," in fact, becomes a naysayer. Interesting theory.

So, what you're saying is, if someone posts satire, and someone else gets upset, and then tries to post satire in response, and the first person then gets upset, even though the second person is trying to post satire in response to satire to show how upset he was at the first satire...

Um....what were we talking about again?
