2) Is the glass bottle blown around the fruit?
3) "Dwindle" comes to mind.
5) A coffin
6) I believe it is possible to renounce one's citizenship. Maybe the parents moved to another country, and when their child came of age he declared himself to be a citizen of another country. I doubt that's the answer you're looking for, though.

2. The empty bottle is placed over the flower and the fruit then grows inside. Once grown, it is picked and then filled with brandy.
