Footloose.....The Frickin Remake?

Wasn't it terrible enough the first time around? If they can make a sequel to this junk, then anything can happen.....even Arizona winning a Super Bowl.

I think some of those have been shelved. For example, the "Batman v. Superman" movie is not being made.

I should have said that this 2005 +

Batman vs Superman-the rights have been bought buy Warner Brothers. I believe they are going to start the series of Batman this next summer. Here is the list they plan to do.

God I thought I was the only comic book "super hero" nut. I am waiting for the BIG ONE. The Justice League! Now that would be the mother load.

Well, like you said, 2005+. I think the scheduled release date is early May 2006, supposedly the same actual date as either X2 or the first movie. They're still working on getting some of the cast resigned.

And if you want to talk about comic nuts, you should see my office. Three 300-issue boxes of X-Men related comics on the floor, and the entire desk is covered. I'm working on back issues, and it's a tedious yet rewarding process.

I have a Green Lantern and Batman action figure (from the Justice League toy line) in my office. When clients (who typically see them and admit they are also comic fans) ask about them, I tell them that GL represents my creative side, while Batman represents my ruthless side.

tx, I have to disagree with you about Footloose. It was one of the many classic flicks from the 80s. Quite possibly the best decade ever for movies.

Footloose, with its great music score and powerful performances by Kevin Bacon and John Lithgow, is a timeless classic. And who could forget Lori Singer, Cmon now.

I agree about one thing, they shouldn't do a remake, because I like the original.

OK, I am a comic enthusiast, but after listening to you guys, I dare not cheapen the word by saying I am a "fan". I defer to you guys. I've got a couple of questions on this thread:
1. Batman vs. Superman??? What the heck?! They're both superheros. How are they going to fight each other? Aren't that what all the villians are for?

2. It seems like I heard somewhere that Ashton Kutcher is going to play Superman in the new movie. Please for all that is holy, tell me this isn't what you guys are hearing!

What I know about the Superman VS. Batman.

Rumor has Wolfgang Petersen was producing this film for WB. However, it took a back seat when the idea of making Troy came about. It is believed that Superman and Batman team together after Batman has a touch with the Darkside.

They both go through some kind of a crisis," Petersen said. "Superman has an unwavering belief in what is right and wrong and it's just not that simple anymore in today's world, while Batman is on a path of self-destruction. He reacts to an act of incredible violence in a way that almost puts him over the edge."
