Movie Review: V for Vendetta
Saw V for Vendetta today.
First, let me say that I have not read the graphic novel, so I can't comment on how the movie compares to the original work.
With that caveat, I give the movie
1/2.
Its an engaging film with a combination of action, great performances and a thought-provoking theme. Its going to get a lot of criticism from some in the press over its somewhat sympathetic portrayal of a "terrorist."
I think that criticism is absurd. First, V is more of an anti-hero of sorts, while Natalie Portman's Evey gives the movie its moral compass. Also, V, unlike today's terrorists, does not indiscriminantly target civilians. Rather, he's more of an assassin.
If this is a movie that interests you, I highly recommend it.

Doesn't seem to bother CNN.criticism from some in the press over its somewhat sympathetic portrayal of a "terrorist."
Seriously though, this movie looks very cool. I can't wait to see it."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Saw the movie last night, i thought it was great. However the five people i was with all agreed that they did not like it.

Re: Movie Review: V for Vendetta
There was a review for it in my school newspaper, it seemed like a good movie.
