Re: Movies You're Not Afraid to Admit Made You Cry

I can cry at the drop of a hat since I'm an extremely emotional person when I watch touching movies. Hell, I teared up when Pebbles Flintstone was born (my all-time favorite cartoon by the way).

And AV, when you mentioned the movie "Homeward Bound", it cracked me up cuz my kids loved that movie too but they used to say, let's watch "Homer Brown" again!!! LOL

Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy........ I cried cause I paid to see it! But of course......Brian's song. Bang the drum slowly. Where the red fern grow. Sounder. and old Yeller. Thing is I saw all these at an early age. So I got all my crying done early! :tongue:

Great Stripes quote.

As for movies that made me cry...I honestly can't remember what movies they were. There have been a good handful of them but for some reason I can't remember titles.

Anytime somebody young dies and there's a good, heavy score when the family and friends find out, that'll get to me. That's about it I'd say.

Though I was much more sensative when I was younger. I cried at the end of Harry and the Henderson's at the last scene where he was walking into the woods with his family.

That's the weird thing, I didn't get this way until after I was 30. As a teen or a young adult, oh, all the puppies got run over? That's sad. Let's go get an ice cream. Now? <sniff><sniff>

Re: Movies You're Not Afraid to Admit Made You Cry

When I was a kid, I would cry every year "The Little Drummer Boy" would play at Christmas when the Drummer Boy would play for the Baby Jesus. However, I can't remember when I cried during a movie honestly.

The end of "Saving Private Ryan" when the older Ryan salutes the head stone of the Tom Hanks character.

Also must agree with Thoey here.....have become snivelling fool as I've gotten older.

TX, I am going to have to say, I have never heard of "From Justin to Kelly".
It was a joke actually Terry. It was a terrible movie made by the first American Idol finalists. It was SOOOOOOOOOO bad you would cry because you actually watched a minute of it.

Even though I prepared myself for it, I still couldn`t help crying during some scenes of Titanic.

Re: Movies You're Not Afraid to Admit Made You Cry

Movies, books, tv shows can all make me cry. It is ridiculously easy.

Where the red fern grows was a difficult read. I seem to be a sucker for kids and animals.

Re: Movies You're Not Afraid to Admit Made You Cry

Well, Nick called for 'one movie at a time' but it seems we need to combine more than one tear jerker in order to feel justified as sentimental adults. I do...

In no particular order:

* An American Tale
* Saving Private Ryan (the ending; Scidog, I had it in mind before I saw yours, really)
* La Mujer que Yo Perdí = The Woman That I Lost, a mexican production (1949)
* The Bridges of Madison County
* Forrest Gump
* Macario; also a Mexican movie (1960)
* Random Harvest (1942)
* La Strada (Italian, 1954)
* The endings of Spartacus (1960), and, Gladiator (2000)

Last but not least, * Awaiting the NFL Season (ClanRam, 2005).
