Oh come on. It's got strippers posing as cheerleaders, a cop and a felon in the same LB corp, a sumo wrestling lineman, a Welsh bar-owner kicker, deaf-mute TE, a barnacle-scraping QB...........what else could you want in a football movie?!?!

Took the kids to see "Hoot" this weekend.
Idyllic portrayal of Florida life, nice environmental themes without being too preachy, some good laughs, and perfectly fitting Jimmy Buffet soundtrack (not to mention his role as the kids' science teacher), makes for a really good movie for the kids (and their parents).

Review: Marion Crane wants to marry her lover, Sam, but they cannot get married because all of Sam's money goes to alimony payments to his ex-wife. A rich tycoon comes into the office-where she works at a secretary- to see her boss. The rich man pulls out $40,000 cash and puts it on Marions desk, asking her to take it and deposit it for the rich man's daughter to buy a house(she was recently married). Marion decides to take the money and run. She tells her boss she isn't feeling well and after depositing the money, she is going to go home and rest. She stops at The Bates Motel and meets a akward and solitary Norman Bates.
Amazing suspense throughout the film. The reoccuring and symbolism of birds in Psycho (and in other Hitchcock films) creates an intense atmosphere of menace. Hitchcock shows you everything for a reason. Anthony Perkins as Norman Bates has a great performance. It is great that the movie has the effect it has without actually showing any gore. Whenever violence ensues, Hitchcock uses a sort of (as I like to call it) "Murder Montage". You never see a murder weapon actually strike or break the skin of the victim, and you don't really have to. This movie is from a different time and may not appeal to the more visual and "obvious" horror some of the younger fans are use to. But heck, I'm 16 and I loved it. And yes, it is black and white. When you are watching this movie, don't forget the birds! Watch the birds, they are everywhere! Look (and listen) for them! Haha, what a movie.

The thing that bugged me about The Replacements, is that they made it seem like none of the scabs ever played again after the big game against the real Dallas team.
Let me get this straight...
A QB that leads a second half comeback...
An O line that is able to block for him...
A defense that shuts down the real Dallas team...
A kicker who kicks a 65 yard field goal...
And NONE of them ever gets to play again? You'd think one of them would get a roster spot on some team, wouldn't you?

Oh and can anyone guess who Lazzlo has play as in a recent movie....say in the last year? If you have seen the movie ...Lazzlo is the dude in the closet! Low buget film that made quite a hit! that's all i'm giving you!
