Pickle analysis
I am a large consumer of pickles, primarily batampte half sours, of which i eat about three jars a week. Any other pickle fans out there?
If so, do you prefer gherkin, half sour, full sour, cucumber or bread and butter pickles. Slices or full pickles?

Re: Pickle analysis
Gotta agree on the half-sours. And, for some reason, they taste better if cut lengthwise.

Re: Pickle analysis
Dill and half-sour spears are the only way to go.

Re: Pickle analysis
The only great pickle out there is Jason's pickles made from scratch. Made with dill, onion and garlic.
If I eat store bought, it is hamburger slices all the way.

Spears of almost any kind are good with a sandwich.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Re: Pickle analysis
I'm definitely a big pickle person. Dill spears or baby pickles to snack on are my preference.

Re: Pickle analysis
never heard of half-sours....
Kosher Dills.. whole for snacking and spears fer sammiches...
If you want to try something... when the pickle jar is empty get some fresh veggies of your choice (whole green beans are great), cut them into bite size pieces and put them in the jar with the left over pickle juice, re-seal it, place it in the fridge for about 2 weeks and you have fresh pickled veggies!
Sliced GREEN tomatoes work great and one can barely tell th edifference between them and cucumber pickles.

Re: Pickle analysis
I detest pickles...I don;t like the taste of vinegar so pickles are definitely out.

Re: Pickle analysis
Definately Dill Spears, although full pickles if not huge aren't bad either.
That sounds really bad.RamsFan16

Re: Pickle analysis
Love the dill pickle spears. Bread and butter sandwich pickles on burgers.
