Haha well of course the dancing was fun,
The food was good! Chinese
getting the hotel room,
then going out to the after party.
Prom is freaking expensive though!!!!!!!!
I spent like 125 on my tux
like 70 for the dinner
64 on the tickets
200+ for the room
30 for the corsage
20 for the beer
EXPENSIVE
So now i told mine, whats yours

Re: PROM!!!! fav Memories??
I have no prom story. No one asked me to go and I skipped it.
So what was the hotel room for if you had prom and an after party to go to? That was your biggest expense. Did you use it?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Re: PROM!!!! fav Memories??
Haha well she was 18 and she bought the room, i just gave her the money
and the after party was at my friends room, about 2 floors up i think it was.
the room was easy to get, my mom and dad were going to buy it for me anyways, you just have to be eighteen, i think you also need a credit card
They changed the legal age of drinking for that day, you know a local thing, it didn't get released to the media to prevent future problems.

Re: PROM!!!! fav Memories??
Prom sucked. Very overrated. The weekend after was really fun, we all went down the shore. Met a girl down there who was more fun than the girl i took to the prom

Re: PROM!!!! fav Memories??
My prom my junior year was with my girlfriend. It was actually kinda ghetto. No slow dance songs at all!
I actually went to prom this year with a friend of mine. She's a senior in high school and I was a freshman in college. So it wasn't weird going. She's just been a good friend, she wanted to go, but couldn't get a date, so she asked me. That one was MUCH more fun than the one with my girlfriend. =X
Not because I have the hots for this girl, but the music was better.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Re: PROM!!!! fav Memories??
My senoir prom was this weekend. I couldn't go to the prom because I skipped class a couple of times and got in some other dumb situations but the afterparty that I went to was fun. I almost got stabbed by some biker who thought we were being too loud.

Re: PROM!!!! fav Memories??
I remember my prom well.
The year was 1985. I had just broken up with my girlfriend, so I decided to go stag. However, on my way to the Prom, I saw this girl on the side of the road wearing a party dress. I pulled over and asked if she was okay. She said that she was supposed to be going to the Prom, but something had happened and she needed a ride. I didn't recognize her, but she was very pretty so, being a typical 18 year old boy, I agreed to drive her. On the way, she introduced herself as Suzie Tompkins. Again, I didn't recognize the name, but I went to a big High School, so it wasn't that strange that I didn't know her.
When we arrived, I figured she'd go off with her friends. Instead, she asked if I wanted to dance. We ended up spending the night dancing together, and had a great time. I then offered to drive her home and she accepted. She directed me back to the spot where I picked her up earlier in the evening, and told me I could just drop her off there. It was kind of the middle of nowhere, so I asked if she was sure. She said yes, and gave me a long kiss. I gave her the rose from my lapel, and she got out of the car.
I started to drive off, but then became concerned about her getting home safely. I turned around and returned to the spot where I had dropped her off. No Suzie. I got out my car and called to her. Nothing. There was nothing around but an old gate entering what looked like a garden. I entered and realized it was, in fact, a graveyard.
Then, it caught my eye. The gravestone... "Suzie Tompkins: 1960-1978"
On the grave was a fresh rose... the very one from my lapel.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: PROM!!!! fav Memories??
My prom's on the 24th. I waited a bit too long to ask someone and all that's left is girls that I don't really wanna go with so I'm going stag. There is another girl at my table that doesn't have a date and her friends are trying to get me to ask her but I'm looking forward to going stag now so I probably won't ask. I'll ask her to dance and all that though.
I'm mostly looking forward to the afterparty.
I'm tryna spend as little money as possible. $120 for the ticket, $35 or so for drinks afterwards (Canada's taxes are ridiculous), some money for shoes I guess, my dad just grabbed a suit for himself and it fits me, so I'm probably wearing that. The night's probably gonna run me around $200.Last edited by Milan; -06-12-2009 at 07:17 PM.
