Putting life into perspective

OK...I been thinking.

An average life is about 70 years. That seems like a long time especially for a kid. But break it down.

That means that is only 70 football seasons. And a person really doesn't start to appreciate the game until he or she is 25. This means you will only fully enjoy about 45 football seasons. In the scheme of things that just ain't enough!!

You can do the same with summers or season changes. During your 70 years of life this means you will only get to enjoy 70 summers. Life doesn't seem so big when you break it down.

How many more do you have left?? Are you living them to the fullest and enjoying each moment for what it brings? There just might be a bigger picture out there.

3 score and 10 was all we were supposed to count on. Anything more was considered a bonus.

But then there is the quality VS quantity issue.

Then there is the "you can't take it with you" (but you need enough to get there on) issue.

Remember also, nothing is guaranteed in life except death and taxes. But they are working on death because alive people continue to pay taxes.

Well, I keep telling my wife that I don't want to live past 70. Too many bad experiences with other people that lived longer. Well, I was born 12/07/63, so 1999-2000 was almost half way through my life. Maybe the RAMS will win the SB again in 2033 and I'll have a good heart attack on my way out...

Well I've been appreciating football since 13, but I can't guarantee I'm going to live to 70
