Hello everyone...well it's been an interesting time. Since last time I wrote, I was rushed to emergency here in El Paso. I was throwing up blood. The tumor that is block off my stomach began bleeding, so I was in the hospital for a few days, but I'm back home now. The bleeding has stopped. That's the good news. However, my cancer has spread to my small intestine. I'm being told that I have only a month or so to live. Of course I have heard this before and I am continuing to get chemo to slow the cancer as much as possible (I'll be getting my chemo here in Texas now instead of travelling to CTCA due to the trip wears me out too much). I very much want to see another Christmas and be with my family and friends here on earth, however, I'm prepared to go and meet my spirit world when the time comes.

He sounds as if he is bound and determined to press on as long as possible. This man is truly a fighter, I really hope he gets his wish of another Christmas with the family.

Hey there everyone. Appreciate all the support you are giving me. It helps me a lot to know I have all of you in my huddle. I just received a huge card from DEZ.



I just resigned up for NFL ticket to watch the Rams. Decided I was worth the expense. I wish I was well enough to go to the game in person, but it doesn't look like it is in the cards. Keep in touch everyone.

It's good to see you post again.
You are a true warrior & friend to all here on the Clan.
I have to say you truly inspire me to be a better man & to live my life to it's fullest.
Life is so very short & taken for granted at times, you just don't know what the good lord has in store for you so everyone live life to it's fullest.

He's mostly keeping us updated through carepages, so for those who don't have an account here is his update as of Sunday morning:

Slept better last night. Still feeling a little yucky, but that probably side effect of chemo. Hopefully that will wear off soon. Look forward to my Rams beating up the Buccaneers today. Next week they play the Panthers, which is my wife's team, so that will be fun (plus Jack and Lynne will be here). Lynne is a big Eagles fan. She would love it here in El Paso, because the Eagles have been on network TV here every week this season along with the Cowboys and Texans. Thank goodness for NFL ticket so I can watch my Rams every weekend!

I spoke with Randy a couple of hours ago. He sounded great on the phone.

We will be heading out to El Paso in the morning to visit Randy and Becky. We'll watch the game together this Sunday to make-up for the game that we couldn't get together for at the end of September.

Carepages update today. Sounds like he's doing better, very glad to hear!

I'm feeling really good this morning. I believe I've got another year in me. I'm gaining weight again. The pain is leveling off. No other side effects are surfacing. My friends Jack and Lynne are on their way down right now and should arrive around 6PM. We'll probably go out to eat and then let them settle into their hotel and get some rest early after that long drive. Sunday we plan on watching football (the Rams of course) and BBQ some T-bone steaks, baked potatoes, corn on the cob, and salad. I can't wait for them to show up. It's been a long time since I've seen them. Heck, I don't get to see them all that often as it is.
