Sad news - RammieGirl passed away on friday

I got a call from from Tim, Denise's husband this morning letting me know that Denise passed away on Friday the 13th. Cancer finally won. She has been fighting it for years. He said that she went peacefully and on her own terms. She is in no more pain and she is in a better place now.

Services will be held on Thursday. They live in CA. If anyone would like to go let me know, and I will get more details.

Denise Porter is her name, and we knew her as RammieGirl. She is one my favorite posters on ClanRam all though she has not been posting much recently. I met her and Tim at my first Bash and they are both wonderful people. She was fun, full of energy, and a absolute rams fan. I will miss her.

Send my regards. I do not believe I had ever read or exchanged posts/messages with her, but I understand what it feels like to lose somebody close to you. My appologies for the suffering of those close to her, and hopefully everything resolves peacefully in the end.

Sorry to hear about this. I remember how proud she was of quitting smoking a while back. If the services are in northern California I would be glad to go and represent.

I will call Tim and get the details. I was planning a trip to California myself and I may be able to fly out this week to be there. I think it is in Northern California Randy.

Very sad news. I did not know her well, but I always enjoyed the energy she brought to the boards. Send our best to her family.

I had no idea. she was supposed to meet up with us at the niners game, but we never connected, although she was there.
