Seat Up or Seat Down??

OK, guys, do you put the seat down after draining the man plumbing? Or, do you leave it up? Those of you that just leave the seat down and hose it down need not reply...

From my point of view, I see no problem with leaving the seat up. I am reminded of the old proverb "Look before you leak"...or something like that. I say if you sit down without looking, you deserve the wet behind.

For those of you that lower the seat after finishing, do you do so because of spousal abuse or out of consideration?

Re: Seat Up or Seat Down??

if the seats down and I need to take a piss I lift it up and then leave it up and walk out and if its up I leave it up and go and then leave. The girls don't lift it for us when were done why do we need to put it down for them when were done?

Re: Seat Up or Seat Down??

I always raise the seat and then handle my biz, and leave it up. T
he reason for this is that i dated a girl for a couple years and her roommate had a pet peeve about the seat not being down constantly, but even though I had my own place, I paid the majority of their rent so I just felt that it was my manly duty to leave the seat up.

Good post! A definite subject we all have an opinion on.

Re: Seat Up or Seat Down??

How about everyone close the lid when done? It looks better and everyone has to lift before they go and close it back again.

Do you use Tidy Bowl, or Flush 2000? If you do, then wouldn't you want to proudly display the blue water by leaving the lid up? I bet in some cultures that the blue water is a symbol of staus...

Down, always down.........cohabitating with women has impressed this deep within my subconscious.

Re: Seat Up or Seat Down??

Up.

But another comment - a peeve if you will. One of the places I work employees several foreigners, specifically Mexican, German, Indian, and one Italian stock chap from Canada. Intelligent chaps to a man.

But, they piss with the seat down, and, they often miss the mark, and leave their calling card all over the seat. So, when the next guy has to take a dump, he faces a big mess.

One of the guys actually put a sign above the toilets asking them to raise the seat, but it wasn't followed enough. I've often thought about saying something, but knowing how "PC" one has to be these days, I figured I'd get in trouble if I said something to some inconsiderate person about pissing all over the seat.

Re: Seat Up or Seat Down??

OK...I'm man enough to admit this....
Due to old age and bladder enlargement (loss of stream force and dribble factor to front of pants), I mostly pee sitting down these days, so I leave the seat down at home. (OK...no that's why you wear a dress cracks).

Re: Seat Up or Seat Down??

I love women, I love making sure that the little things are taken care of because in reality that's what really makes them smile.

If you want to make sure that the woman you are with knows that she is always on your mind, then do what thoey said and place both lids down afterwards plus wipe up your trailers afterwards. Women spend much more time in the bathroom than the gents, so make sure you make that space as comfortable to her as possible.

She'll appreciate it.

Re: Seat Up or Seat Down??

I'm with BigRed on the whole sitting down thing, especially in the morning.

I could tell you guys some stories about sharing toilets in China but I think you're all having your breakfast.
