soft serve vs hard ice cream
what do you like better, soft serve ice cream (or frozen yogurt if that is your preference) or the old style harder version?
The off season is upon us. Time to consider a series of banal topics in the hopes that we can occupy ourselves without the endless self flagelation of draft predictions before free agency, which in my view is basically a waste of time since you dont know what we will need on draft day compared to what we think we need now.

Re: soft serve vs hard ice cream
Both have their appeal. Alone, I generally prefer hard ice cream. However, soft serve is very good with sprinkles (or, jimmies, as some call them) and also in a root beer float.

Re: soft serve vs hard ice cream
As it snows outside, my thoughts drift from the chili just prepared on the stove to the Chocolate Fudge Walut ice cream in the freezer.
I like any ice cream, pure and simple.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Used to walk across the street to the Foster's Freeze for Chocolate dipped Vanilla cones as a kid....
Then there were Dairy Queens, but they also went away...
Pecan Praline, Mother Lode, Butter Oecan.. etc.... never seen walnut ice cream.
Frozen Yougrt is okay but definetly NOT ice cream!

Re: soft serve vs hard ice cream
Definitely the real deal ice cream, no soft serve or frozen yogurt for this guy. Strawberry is my favorite I guess. For those of you who have never had the pleasure of eating Ted Drewes frozen custard from St Louis, you need to try it someday. It's the best ever.

A large soft served M&M Cyclone from Ioco.
Soft Server definately, I remember before my grandmother died she always had homemade soft serve ice cream for us when we went to her house. And now she's gone but her memories and the taste of that soft serve ice cream remains.RamsFan16
