What is the best show on TV that actually requires a script and actors?

My vote:

Supernatural
If you have not watched this show, rent the DVDs and get caught up. There have been many shows in recent years about monsters, myths and things that go bump in the night. There are two things that make this show great. First, it does a great job of combining episodic storylines with maintaining an ongoing plot. Second, its two leads, Sam and Dean, are perhaps the portrayal of brothers since Frasier. The show keeps you in suspense and is funny as Hell (no pun intended).

NCIS or Bones. I discovered both of these shows kind of late, but like both of them.

Lost. It is really difficult to have to wait a whole week to see the next episode with this series. Everything about the show is awsome (except for Kate). I have never seen a show with such a strong plot that always keeps you interested and guessing, combined with such strong characters who all have great backstories that you get connected with.

It is going to be sad once the final season ends next year because I have been so entertained over the years watching this fantastic show.

I don't follow many T.V. shows, but my girlfriend has gotten me into Heroes. Good writing, the characters are interesting (along with their superpowers), and there are many twists involved. Can't wait for the upcoming season.

I don't even know what shows are on tv anymore, as most everything I watch is via netflix. I see netflix has Supernatrual available and will give it a try .. My most recent favorite: Foyle's War ..
