What do you guys like to do...

During the football offseason? I know its a dreaded wait, but is there anything specific any of the fans like to do when football season is off?

I personally enjoy watching Hockey during the offseason. I may take fire for posting that, but I really enjoy the sport. My Coyotes are off to a very good season this year and its keeping me excited. :)

Also, I get to spend my sundays a little different. Rather than watching football all day, I can find time to catch up on some reading, studies, and most importantly being social.

How about you guys? I know TX likes to cook now. :D

Sundays are used for yardwork, weather permitting. I also engage in hobbies like driving Tawn crazy, belly button lint collecting, and eating.

Oh, yeah, I also speculate on what the Rams are going to be doing while I bang my head against the wall counting down until the season begins.

big question

Spring starts baseball season and I begin getting ready for the Twins. My daughter is very active in sports so we travel all around almost every weekend and several times a week for volleyball, softball and basketball. I love to hunt and fish. My summers are spent at our cabin, enjoying life. I try to golf when I can. I have lots of fun man toys (vette, playstation, WII, garage, well groomed yard, tractor, etc..) that I play with in my spare time :-)

As far as spectator sports, I'm a big NBA fan (go Heat!).

Other activities (aside from work and spending time with my family):

I play in a 40 and over basketball league.

I work as a volunteer at a State Park (operating the Nature Center).

I go kayaking once a week on the Wekiva River (where I take many photos of our local birds and wildlife).

I like long walks on a moonlit beach......lol

Seriously, I like trying every mexican restaurant in Austin, (lived here 9 years still haven't hit them all) doing some wine tasting now (dad gum women, get you involved in stuff everytime), UT Baseball and golf.

I enjoy watching the rugby here in England (London Wasps), I play handball a little, and i'll be able to get some university work done on a sunday night from now on!! I've also got to start looking into what i want to do once i graduate and go off into the big bad world...

Golfing, yard work, honey-do's, etc...

(ok, I don't like doing the honey-do's, but life is easier if I do them than if I don't.)

It's hard to balance, and this extends thru the football season, but I like to help poeple out designing additions and remodels for their homes, managing my only Strat-O-Matic Baseball team (google OldTimeStratLeague for the web site), doing some serious mountain biking (google Upper Bidwell Park, Chico, CA), fishing (preferably stream and river, but I am not picky). This season I will also have two wee ones in Farm Leagues (baseball & fast pitch softball), one of which I will be coaching. And because I grew up near the stadium, I still follow the Angels, which will be heating up again soon.

One note on Strat: If you enjoy fantasy baseball or football and you like statistics, you would find this sort of a league very rewarding and addicting. We started with 1960 players, and this is a keeper league, so you can screw up big time or build a dominant team. Check out our site and I'll be glad to answer any questions.

I like mowing my lawn - weird, huh? I even mowed my leaves again on Jan 2.

Many of you know that I make custom football players. I have a waiting list that is several months long.

I have started lifting weights over the past several months. I had cancer 4 years ago and it weakened me. With lifting, I currently have my arms fromthe size of toothpicks to twigs these days.

The wife and I are taking a photography class starting the week after next.

We are going to see AC/DC Monday evening. I like outdoor music festivals but they are getting few and far between.

I have to buy season tickets to the Tulsa Talons.

I might just have to do that! My dad got me into it when I was a youngin', and I haven't had much luck finding someone else to play.

Hmm... In the Rams offseason I do softball, dart, pool, and bowling leagues. I am a big fan of Syracuse University basketball. I like playing guitar and going to rock concerts. I also take a stab at beer brewing once in a while. But really, it seems like mostly I just sleep. A LOT.
