    What does your town have??

    Every small town/big city in America has something it boosts about, or something that keeps the town on the map (i.e. industry), what does your town have that makes it unique?

    Mine = Northfield, Minnesota

    Home of Malt-O-Meal, hot and cold cereals. As well as the defeat of Jesse James. The James/Yonger gang attempted to rob at bank here many years ago and the town folk stood up to the gang and foiled there plans and even shot a couple of members including Jesse's brother.

    Dang, the only thing I can think of off the top of my head is Jaime Martin hailed from here.

    However, as an area (we are commonly referred to as "The Five Cities") we are a popular tourist destination because of our beaches (Avila Beach and Pismo Beach), Oceano (where one can drive on the beach), the Oceano Dunes (where dune buggies prowl).

    Re: What does your town have??

    I live in Vancouver, Washington, USA.

    One hour north of me is Mt. St. Helens -an active volcano.

    Just south of me is the Columbia River. Which is famous for the Lewis and Clark expedition to the Pacific Ocean.

    On the south side of the river is Portland, Oregon. Home of the Portland Trailblazers. The team stupid enough to pass on Michael Jordon with the 1st pick of the draft. They wound up selecting Sam Bowie, who ultimatly had bad knees and our title hopes were dead.

    Other than that, we have the Pacific ocean an hour and a half to the west. Mount Hood for skiiing an hour and a half to the southeast. And then there's the Seattle Seahawks 2 and a half hours to the north.
