Who Digs Pink Floyd?

I know I'm going to alienate myself and lose credibility with several of you, but.....

Pink Floyd is THE most overrated band of anytime leading up to (though not including) the boy band era.

I do like a few of there songs, but have to agree. I just don't get the draw to them. Maybe if I was high or trippin on acid I'd feel differently....

By the way, is anyone else here ticked off that the music we like that is played on the radio is called the 'Oldies" station? I call Buddy Holly an oldie, not the Stones (although Keith Richards looks like a mummy).

Meh, not really. When you can measure a song's age in decades, I think it's safe to call it old. I think "Classic Rock" might be a better description, though.

Ahhhhh...Pink Floyd...many an acid trip did I spend listening to them.... My favorite albums in order:

1. Dark Side of the Moon.
2. Wish You were Here.
3. Animals.
4. The Wall.

Anyone listen to the Alan Parsons Project? The album Tales of Mystery and Imagination Edgar Allan Poe is a classic and very Pick Floydish. You won't be disappointed by buying it.

We had an all Oldies station here and it disappeared last year in favor of a "Country Hits" station.

Country has gotten to be so "pop" that the "new country" is barely distinguishible from a top 40 pop station.:x
