Re: Going to phily
I'm getting excited to get out of town. We will be staying in Allentown on Friday night thru Wednesday morning. We'll be in Philly Thursday night for the Rams kickoff concert at Lincoln Financial Field and will be staying with a friend that night.

Re: Going to phily
Cryinig, Crying? Crying with laughter as we glance at you and all the Eagle fans with their little pouty faces after the Rams pluck them. Of course you will have to sing to AlphaRam and me at the BASH...
I'm a little Eagle birdie fan
The Rams played us last week
and knocked us on our can
I humble myself to all of you
I hope my voice and team's performance
won't make you want to spew

I'm sorry I bragged on ClanRam
Now everyone line up and spank my assLast edited by bigredman; -08-24-2008 at 11:34 PM.

Re: Going to phily
I am going to philly in october for a short break before I go on to STL for the cards game, any advice on where to go and what to do would be greatly 'received'.

Re: Going to phily
looking at the alexander inn, seems reasonably priced, or maybe the radisson warick plaza. Are these where one would want to be? We will want to do some shopping (including the all important shop for levi's and sneakers, so much cheaper in the usa than in the UK, oh and a detour for some NFL gear!). Some kind of bus tour would be good to get an idea of what there is to see.
One has to run up the steps

Re: Going to phily
They're both in good areas. Lots of bars and resturants and stuff. Horse and buggies are abound even though I don't take them. The Art Museum is a nice, long walk from where you'll be staying, so we'll see if you have the Rocky spirit to run up the stairs afterwards

P.S.
I think they have recently moved the Rocky statue from the stadiums in South Philly and moved it back to the Art Museum where it started out.
