Your Bash Questions Answered Here
What is the Bash?
The Bash is ClanRam's annual event at which a group of us travel from the ends of the globe to St. Louis for a Saturday night dinner and a Rams home game. This year the Bash will be September 26 and 27 for the home opener against the Green Bay Packers.
Who is invited?
Everyone! There will be a thread providing information on how to RSVP. Dez will get a block of tickets for those who respond. We typically will ask for information on who will go to the dinner so we can make sure we have enough room for everyone.
Where is the dinner held?
Typically, we hold it at Jake's Steaks, located in Laclede's Landing near the EJD. We will likely have it there this year. Great steaks, toasted ravs and plenty of libations.
What happens at the dinner?
For those who have been to the Bash before, its a lot of reconnecting. For the new folks, I think you'll find its a welcoming atmosphere (unless you are wearing the opposing team's jersey). We also typically raffle off some Rams items to raise money for the site.
Do we all sit together at the game?
Yes. Nothing like having a bunch of your Clanmates to high five when the Rams make a play.
Any other events or gatherings during the weekend?
There are usually some informal gatherings as well. If you come in on Friday, typically there will be a group who will meet for dinner. Many will do shopping excursions on Saturday to buy lots of Blue & Gold items. For those who stay until Monday, there's usually an after-party, of sorts.
Where should I stay?
The Drury Inn is a good choice, as it is right accross the street from the EJD and reasonably priced. There's also a Hampton Inn a couple of blocks away that is nice. If you want something a bit more upscale, there is the new Lumiere Place Hotel & Casino (also within a couple of blocks of the stadium). I am looking into a possible room block there to get the price down.
Should I go?
Absolutely. You won't regret it.Last edited by AvengerRam; -05-01-2009 at 05:37 PM.

Lies, Lies, Lies .....
Lifetime friendships are made at these Bashes. It will pull you to travel to St. Louis every fall, and gather with friends that are half a world away. Some of the best people I have ever met I see once a year at the Bash.
Can't wait to go back !

WARNING, once you bash, you cant stop. Dez enticed me over in 1999, I missed out in 2005, but NEVER again. Its just plain brilliant.
The Breakfast Club. You want cheese with that?

Re: Your Bash Questions Answered Here
I have unfortunately had to miss the last two, but it is my intent to rectify that situation this year. For a true Rams fan, there is no better experience for attending a game. It was mentioned earlier, but the friendships you cultivate are ones that last, and the people are of the highest quality!

Re: Your Bash Questions Answered Here
Depending on where we get seats, the tickets could be anywhere from $60 - $90 per seat.
Everything else is up to you. You can decide where you wish to stay, what to order at dinner, and how many raffle tickets to buy (that is, if Randy does not buy them all first!).
There's also a surcharge of $100.00* that should be sent to the Coelition for the AvengerRam's Summer Home (or "CASH," for short). PM me for the mailing address.

Re: Your Bash Questions Answered Here
I'm thinking that with all this talk of alcohol intake, some here that want to attend thier first Bash MAY get the wrong impression. Really folks, there are only a very SMALL crowd of Bash goers that only eat breakfast each day while in St. Louis.
Plenty of time to eat when returning to the place we call home.

Re: Your Bash Questions Answered Here
Along with that, it is a family friendly atmosphere as well. Everyone is well behaved(for the most part!) and are the definition of welcoming. My wife is a hesitant football fan, and absolutely has loved coming to the bash these past two years. Imagine what it's like for those of us who bleed blue and gold!
The only reason I can think of that being of age is required is so that you can drink some of that rotgut that Dez brings over(Ohhhh it's so good!). Don't ask don't tell on ID's!
