Joned this forum after Bernie Miklasz went nuts on me

Hi guys! I'm a longtime Rams fan, actually St. Louis sports fan, that got the boot from Bernie at the Post Dispatch website forum. I have been a member there for about four-five years.

The reason I got banned? I had the nerve to start a thread about Keith Null, and was immediately and viciously attacked by Miklasz in "his" forum.

Why? I don't know, other than to say what I posted actually AGREED with an article he posted, saying that "you never know" about quarterbacks and how they will turn out, which frustrates coaches and front office personnel.

I used his logic to support MY opinion that Null should be groomed to start the last game of the season, getting him some reps, because "you never know" (quoting Bernie) what you've got until you ACTUALLY PLAY A GUY.

It was just an opinion, and Bernie went nuts on me. He complained about (in chronological order):

1. my starting a thread about Null
   
2. my “inability to understand”
3. my “refusal to understand”
4. my “infatuation” with Null
5. my inability “to figure it out”
6. my not being “too bright”
7. my “wearing him out”
8. my “irritating” him

He also went into this long rant about spending countless hours and days moderating the forum "as a courtesy" to us readers, moaning and complaining and saying all kinds of stupid B.S.

Some other posters took exception to his lunacy, and he flamed them too. Maybe he's in a mid-life crisis or something, because he's been increasingly cantankerous lately.

I finally responded by comparing him to Andy Rooney, a grouchy old fart who isn't relevant anymore. I also told him that if he hated moderating the forum so much, he should quit doing it.

He b*tched some more, then banned me from the PD forums and locked the thread.

I felt the whole ridiculous episode was an unwarranted, extreme overreaction on his part and total condescension to a loyal reader.

Frankly, I'm sick of him (and some of the other admins over there) running that place like it's thier own personal kingdom.

Don't even get me started on the other "Ram Fans" over there that think they are the anointed Forum Sheriffs, polishing up their badges every chance they get. They don't want people to have thier own opinions, and heaven forbid if you actually want to have a little fun.

I apologize for the length of my first post here, but thanks for the chance to vent. Hopefully, we can talk some REAL football here, without the fear that if we don't kiss the admin's a**, we'll get banned.

Welcome Ramsong. We love to poke fun at Bernie here, so I'm sure many will get a chuckle over your story. Have you read his latest offering? I'm getting the impression he read your post here, but that he's not chuckling over it.

I actually took the time to read that whole thread. The only thing I wish was that some of the comments weren't *deleted*, so that I could see their relevance.

RamSong - I too am a disgruntled fan from that other "website." Way to much nonsense, hypocrisy, and "know it alls".

Anyway, welcome - I know this has become my new home as well. Look forward to seeing during the draft and games as the new season progresses.

BTW - the 99 at the end of my moniker is just a numeric placeholder. I've been a fan since I was a kid - Roman Gabriel & Rosy were my first football heroes.
