  • Playoff Advice Needed!!!!!

Holy cow!!! I made it!!! This is only my first year playing Fantasy Football. I finished with a 10-2 record, the best in the league. But, I'm scared ****less... I just so happen to be playing one of two teams that beat me in an extremely close game.

I will list my team and then the opponent. I will also list WR and RB free agents to see if any changes are recommended. Any help will be much more appreciated then you could possibly imagine!!!

Hey Atlas, those are last weeks games. However, based on this weeks opponents:

    RB Martin vs. Indy
RB Bettis (If healthy) vs. Detroit

If Hicks get the start over George against Oakland, remember what Priest Holmes recently did against the Raiders. Consider picking up Hicks, dropping WR Johnson, and starting Hicks instead of Bettis.

Cincy as your D and ST? Man, you must have picked the team last. LOL

      DONT CHANGE!!

Play the players that have got you this far. You drop ANY players they become available to others. You look like you ahve solid team.

I would start Johnson over Chamberlain if its a yardage league. Both QB are hurting in MN.

I have to start a TE. But, look on the bright side. Chamberlain seems to do well when everyone else is struggling.

I picked the Bengals JUST for last week's game. Figured to get a good game out of them. The Chargers were my original start and might be again this week.

That Skipp Hicks idea is a hell of a one. Thanks! Though, I think I'll drop Hilliard instead of Johnson for him. The Browns are still in the playoff hunt and could go big with Johnson still.

Anyone think I have a chance of beating this guy? Faulk's going to have a HUGE game!!

          yeap...

Its going to be tuff to beat him only because of the match ups this week. His players and going against weak competition or banged up defenses. Have faith in your team...it got you this far

            Atlas, you still playing?

How is your team Atlas? Still in it?

I don't know. I think I did pretty good. I got Peyton as my starter and if I'm reading this chart right, it's copied exactly like it is on the website, I think I got the Titans defense. It's says DT, but I think it's my defense.

I got Mike Anderson, one of my top three choices, behind Eddie and Faulk. Ed McCaffrey was another of my top choices. Not sure if Michael Westbrook, Marcus Pollard, and Adam Vinatieri are good picks or not. What do you think?

I have both J.J. Stokes to replace Michael Westbrook and Jay Fiedler to replace Charlie Batch as my backup on my waiver list. I get the feeling the pecking order will change, so hopefully, I'll get them both. If I do, I think I'll have a pretty good team. Also Ike Hillard to replace Jeff Graham.

              My current fantasy roster
              by krist042
QB: Donovan McNabb (yes, I started him last week. I know, I'm horrible, but he got me a ton of points)
              QB: Brett Favre
WR: Plaxico Burress (yes, I will start him this week)
              WR: Laveranues Coles
              WR: Bernard Berrian
WR: DeSean Jackson (started him too...shhh)
              WR: Eddie Royal
              RB: Frank Gore
              RB: Maurice Jones-Drew
              RB: Matt Forte
              RB: Chris Johnson
              TE: Antonio Gates
              K: Rob Bironas
              DEF: Dallas
              DEF: Buffalo

I know I have a lot of rookie talent but they have been looking good already. I think this is the best team after week 1 that I have had yet.

Small league, 8 owners, everyone has studs. We play Team QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, K, and DEF.

I was the 8th pick and all the 1st tier RB's were gone. Looks okay as long as I don't get hit by the injury bug again...

              #4 SoCal BlitzKrieg (10-5) vs #8 RAMbunctious (8-6-1)
              Last Meeting: SoCal BlitzKrieg 106 - 78 (Week 4)
SoCal BlitzKrieg Key Players: QB B. Favre, WR M. Harrison, WR D. Bennett
RAMbunctious Key Players: QB B. Roethlisberger, RB J. Jones, DEF San Diego

RAMbunctious avenged a late season loss to top ranked hoof hearted in the first round of the playoffs in what was a big upset in a week of upsets. They can pull another upset this week as Blitzkrieg has some very difficult matchups. But, at the same time, RAMbunctious also has some matchups against tough defenses. This could be a somewhat low scoring game. Roethlisberger hasn't been lighting it up lately, but that could change as the Steelers look to clinch homefield. Favre will be on national television on Friday where he could shine against a Vikings team that gave up 27 points last week.

              #6 DJ's Dynamo (9-6) vs #7 FertersFantasyFreaks (8-6-1)
              Last Meeting: FertersFantasyFreaks 106 - 100 (Week 13)
DJ's Dynamo Key Players: QB T. Green, TE T. Gonzalez, DEF Atlanta
FertersFantasyFreaks Key Players: QB B. Volek, WR E. Kennison, DEF Buffalo

While the other game has the chance to be somwhat low scoring, this game will surely be high scoring. This will be the game of the week. The previous meeting between these teams was close and only three weeks ago. Ferter's key players alone last week put up 131 points, more than enough to take care of the #2 seed Milngavie Claymores. Volek has been on fire late, but faces a tougher defense with Denver at home. Buffalo travels to play the Whiners which should get Ferter some good points. Kansas City's game with Oakland will produce 3 key players for this matchup. Kennison put up 25 points last week and faces the horrible Raiders this week. However, across the stat sheets lies Trent Green for the Dynamo who should more than cancel out Kennison's point value. Dynamo will be waiting patiently for McGahee's status which remains at questionable.
