I don't think I could go without actually participating. Nobody else would care, but I'd feel like a total wuss if I didn't run.

Sometimes you just need a little more humor in your life. Use this thread to post tidbits of humor that come your way. We all get them. Maybe we can laugh our way through the offseason.

      I'll get it started:

      The Original Hollywood Squares

If you remember The Original Hollywood Squares and its comics.
These great questions and answers are from the days when
game show responses were spontaneous and clever, not
scripted and (often) dull as they are now. Peter Marshall was the host asking the questions, of course.

      Q. Do female frogs croak?
      A. Paul Lynde: If you hold their little heads under water long enough.

      Q. True or False, a pea can last as long as 5,000 years.
      A. George Gobel: Boy, it sure seems that way sometimes.

      Q. According to Cosmo, if you meet a stranger at a party and you think that he is attractive, is it okay to come out and ask him if he's married?
A Rose Marie: No, wait until morning.

      Q. What are "Do It," "I Can Help," and "I Can't Get Enough"?
      A. George Gobel: I don't know, but it's coming from the next apartment.

      Q. Paul, why do Hell's Angels wear leather?
      A. Because chiffon wrinkles too easily.

      Q. Charley, you've just decided to grow strawberries. Are you going to get any during the first year?
      A. Charley Weaver: Of course not, I'm too busy growing strawberries.

      Q. In bowling, what's a perfect score?
      A. Rose Marie: Ralph, the pin boy.

      Q. It is considered in bad taste to discuss two subjects at
nudist camps. One is politics, what is the other?
      A. Paul Lynde: Tape measures.

      Q. Can boys join the Camp Fire Girls?
      A. Marty Allen: Only after lights out.

      Q. If you were pregnant for two years, what would you give birth to?
      A. Paul Lynde: Whatever it is, it would never be afraid of the dark.

      Q. It is the most abused and neglected part of your body, what is it?
      A. Paul Lynde: Mine may be abused but it certainly isn't neglected.

      Q. Who stays pregnant for a longer period of time, your wife or your elephant?
      A. Paul Lynde: Who told you about my elephant?

      Q. According to Ann Landers, what are two things you should never do in bed?
      A. Paul Lynde: Point and Laugh

      ok now its getting annoying.....
      by Guest
Some people here like to change their handles into names like Linefan and Georgia Frontiere.....thats all fine until all the threads are being commented by these sarcastic individuals...put an end to it while its funny!! ...Now i have something else to discuss...Linehan may still be the coach next year so deal with it....Georgia Frontiere will still be the owner for many many years to come, so deal with it.....and last but not least if you want to make fun of every individual in the organization, there are 31 other teams with front offices that you may like (the Pats bandwagon is hot so you can easily jump on unnoticed).....I am a rams fan and will support any decision they make and will cheer my heart out for them....i dont care much about frontiere but i would never make fun of her so that i can give fans of other teams a topic to bring up and use against me.....just my two cents...

PS.... i came here to talk about football not clown around with people using temporarily funny handles....

What is your most cherished Ram memory.
      by bloodnhall
Isn't it great that when you haven't thought of something you cherish in awhile and something is said that like a time warp, takes you to your moment. Here's mine,I was back to the New Years eve 1979 to 1980 day when the Rams played the Cowboys in the playoffs. My Father, my stepmom, my brother and his wife, my best friend and his wife, and my wife (then girl friend) were at my condo watching the game.
CBS wanted a Dallas-Steeler rematch, the experts gave us no chance. Dallas beat us in a regular season game 30-6. And for the first time we were a nine point underdog (largest ever). But our Rams had a 14-5 halftime lead, we were going nuts. Then late in the fourth quarter dallas tooka 19-14 lead and it looked like another snakebitten playoff loss by our Rams. Then when Vinnie hit Waddy for that 50 yard TD, this is exactly what happened in my living room.
I slide on my knees like I am on ice to one inch from the TV screen my ears and eyes are focused on one thing A FLAG. I see none our Ram players dont act like their is one and they say their isn't one.
I turn around and this is what I see. The 7 of hem our hugging each other and our jumping up and down like it is one person with 14 legs. I run to join them, but my momentum as I hug knocks us off balance and all 8 of us hugging as one crash into my coffee table breaking it in pieces with crap going everywhere, but, we don't even give it a thought. ALL 8 keep hugging each other and screaming with joy. What is etched forever in my mind is the faces of my Father and Brother virtually and inch from my face with yelling and smiling. Since they are no longer with us, that moment is my moment. And I need it. what's yours?

      Dealing with Sports Performance Anxiety
      by Milan
Usually, just before a football game for my high school team, I get nervous, scared and really don't feel like talking to anyone, it forces me to not enjoy the game at all. Now I have a dilemma, I want to join an OVFL team (O.J Atogwe used to play in the OVFL as a teen) but what's keeping me from joining is my fear of making mistakes...This seasons I was 2nd string for about 3/8 games and first string at either CB or FS for the remainder (I was second string in the beginning because of my size and my coaches not knowing I could play with the rest because of my size), I had one interception, and 2 tackles, one which was an open field, and I missed two tackles (One on a 2 point convert). The one on the 2 point convert was just the QB getting away from me, and the first one I missed was me being scared of making a mistake. My friends and coaches tell me that my coverage skills are great and I am one of the smallest on the team so they tell me I'm also 'tough'. But despite this, I still have fears when I play football. Is there any way to deal with Sports Performance Anxiety? BRM, maybe you have an answer, being a former football player and a coach right now?
