  • tsk tsk Haloti Ngata

I know hindsight is always 20-20 but isn't it sad with all the interior defense and run defense problems the Rams have had that in 2006 they traded their 1st round pick (#11) for Denver's 15 and 68. Not even wondering what if the Rams had taken Cutler, but they also missed out on Haloti Ngata - a interior monster with Baltimore. The Rams drafted Tye Hill with Denver's 1st, and Claude Wroten with the 3rd round pick they got! Those were the days.

BTW the 2nd round pick was Joe Klopfenstein!

2006 was a rough draft. A lot of solid WRs and LBs. And we get Hill, Klop, Wroten, Alston, and Byrd on day 1. Mmm, mmm, mmm.

Right up there with the 2000 debacle in my mind.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Sadly yes... and I was despertaely hoping that we'd grab Ngata because I knew he was going to be a beast. At least I was right in my scouting, too bad we decided he wasn't worth the #11 pick...
      I believe!:ram:

couldnt we have drafted Antonio Cromartie instead of Hill? Just goes to show the keen talent evaluators we have as scouts.

Hey guys, you aren't the only one to take a defensive back bust over Ngata.

The Bills took Donte Whitner and all he has done is run his mouth and not back it up. Ngata was the obvious pick and everyone knew it but the Bills FO.

The hindsight game is a dangerous one to play.

it's amazing that someone who's height = his 40 time drafted so high....
