Anybody know what the criterias are for selecting which teams' coaching staffs gets the nod?
The Whiners have had the honor for a couple of years if I remember correctly (they got a feel for at least Willis and Josh Morgan before drafting them), and the Rams where ineligable last year, because the coaching staff was not in place. What's the reason this year? I believe it's a great opportunity for the coaches to have an inside look at some of these prospects, their skill-sets, personalities and coachability (is that a word?).

I was under the impression that the two worst teams were offered the opportunity. I could see how Detroit could get it if the Bucs passed, but Miami? They're a ways down the draft board..Doesn't really make sense to me.

We had the second overall pick for two years in a row, and now have the first overall pick. I'm also at a loss as for why we haven't taken advantage of this situation, but maybe they've offered and we've declined, who knows. I'll see if I can find out.
