  • Derrick Morgan and Jonathan Dwyer entering draft

GaTech's DE Derrick Morgan and RB Jonathan Dwyer have declared.

Morgan is #2 on my draft board. I expect he'll be a Top 10 pick.

Dwyer's entry into the draft can benefit the Rams, as it makes the RB class deeper, which increases the chance that a quality back could fall to the 3rd or 4th round when the Rams might be looking for a backup to Steven Jackson. Dwyer himself is a likely first or second round pick.

Re: Derrick Morgan and Jonathan Dwyer entering draft

This is making this draft very deep. I think we can get a legit DE at the top of the 2nd round and maybe Darrio Alexander in the 3rd.

    round 1 - Suh
    round 2 - DE
    round 3 - Alexander
    round 4 - TE/OL
    round 5 - OL/OLB
    round 6 - Ryan Perriloux

    Free agency Vick, OLB

Obvious Round 1 Selection but 2?
      by FestusRam
Ok, my vote is for Suh round one. Thats an obvious pick you cant pass up

But round 2? I see many people wanting to acquire Alexander and i agree and disagree with it both.

The reason i agree is, he is very talented receiver with great size. He would fit exceptionally well into the West Coast O. I've seen him catch screens many times and just break them for 50+ yards.

However, I feel like if we acquire another WR this off season it should be a veteran. Not another rookie. I dont beleive the rams will draft him in the 2nd but I honestly don't know. What do you think about it?

What does your "checklist" for this draft look like?
      by AvengerRam_old
Typically, a team is not going to be able to fill all of its needs in one draft. However, I always have a checklist of positions I would like to fill (and when) in a given draft.

Here's my checklist for this weekend:

Wide Receiver (Round 1 or 2)
      Safety #1 (Round 1-3)
      OG/RT (Round 1 or 2)
      OLB (Round 2-4)
      RB (Round 2-5)
      WR/Return Specialist (Round 4-6)
      Safety #2/big CB (Round 4-7)
      LB/Special Teams (Round 6-7, FA)
      Rotation DT (Round 5-7, FA)
