FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. _ The St. Louis Rams are looking north of the border once again for potential roster help.
Defensive end Ricky Foley, who finished tied for the Canadian Football League lead with 12 sacks this past season for the British Columbia Lions, visited Rams Park on Tuesday and Wednesday.
At 6-2, 256 pounds, Foley has potential as an edge rusher in the NFL at either defensive end or outside linebacker. Sources close to Foley said he was impressed with the Rams during his visit but plans to visit a few other NFL teams. He already has visited the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Jets.
One of Foley’s former B.C. Lions teammates, Cameron Wake, had 5 1/2 sacks last season for the Miami Dolphins. The Rams could have a glaring need at the defensive end position in 2010. Leonard Little is an unrestricted free agent, and is contemplating retirement. James Hall also is an unrestricted free agent, and Victor Adeyanju will be a restricted free agent in an uncapped year.
Foley is a former decathlete from Courtice, Ontario, and played at York University in suburban Toronto. Earlier in the offseason, the Rams worked out BC Lions running back Martell Mallett, but he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles instead.

Rams favorites to land Mike Vick
Today - 5:31 PM ET
According to a report from Jason LaCanfora on NFL Network Wednesday, the Rams are "definitely" the favorites to land Michael Vick this offseason.
The Rams have connections to Vick, beginning with GM Billy Devaney from their time together in Atlanta. Coach Steve Spagnuolo and coordinator Pat Shurmur are both tight with Andy Reid and presumably have received positive reports on Vick. Despite the Eagles' recent contention that they don't plan to deal Vick, he's almost certainly available for a reasonable price.
