Which TE should the Rams get for 2010?

I feel like TE is a big need to be addressed in the offseason, but it is not being talked about enough. Many people, me included, think we need to let go of McMichael as he was a huge disappointment. Which TE, through the draft or FA, would you like the Rams to obtain for the future?

With TE becoming a big position Sheffler might be hard to sway and Gresham might not fall to the 2nd so Rob G is my pick

I'm a huge fan of Tony Moeaki from Iowa, if he can be had for a fourth or fifth I would be mighty satisfied.

I also like the value of Dickson at this point, the guy has real potential to be a beast.

I like Ben Watson, good athleticism and hands. Seems to come open when the game is down to the wire, I think we all remember the MNF game between the pats and bills.

L.J. Smith, who is coming off a 1 year, $1.5 million contract. He was productive enough with the Eagles that they franchised him before the 2008 season. He has struggled with injuries the last two seasons but could be had for very cheap and when healthy has the talent to be an above average starter in the league.

I would give up a 4th for Schefler extremely talented, young and he would excel in this system. I voted on him, but I would also consider Ed Dickson in the 3rd he reminds me alot of Jermichael Finley of the Packers

Owen Daniels in a perfect world, but I don't see us getting him and none of the other FA's do much for me. I don't really know enough about the draftees to fairly comment on them, but I wouldn't be a huge fan of grabbing one any higher than the 4th round. Having a good TE is certainly beneficial, but I think it is slightly too much of a luxury pick at this point to spend a high pick on one when we have so many other glaring needs to address.

Owen Daniels will get a one year deal from the Texans.

I love Tony S as a starting TE for us. He's a great athlete and a good all around TE. He was benched because of a personal disagreement with McDaniels and that's why he'll be a free agent. I hope we wrap him up.

Ya I voted Scheffler to because he already has proven ability, he's able to stay healthy, prodcutive and less of a gamble than any late draft pick I can see..

I'd like to see Scheffler with the Horns on. I think the Rams need the biggest most reliable target over the middle, and Tony checks in at 6'5'' and 250ish.

Keep in mind that Tony Scheffler is probably going to be a restricted free agent, which means even if the Broncos give him the low tender, we'd still have to give up a second round pick to sign him unless we were able to negotiate a trade for less.

Of the "Free Agents" we arent going to get Daniels because he will be tendered highly by the Texans. Scheffler seems to be out of Denver because of his disagreement with McDaniels, but again, he could be tendered by the Broncos so they get some compensation for him. I think to get Scheffler we will have to give up a draft pick, and to get Daniels we may have to give up at least a first. Im not sure on Scaife's availability either, but he is a favourite target of Vince Young.

Watson could be had, but he is an inconsistent player (which is why the Pats are letting him go). I wouldnt want a guy like LJ Smith, who the Eagles let go because Celek outplayed him, and he went to the Ravens and did nothing.

I dont know much about the draftees, but if Greshem somehow finds himself at the top of round 2 the Rams could be very tempted to pull the trigger. It depends on how he has healed from his injury.

I really think the TE position is on the bottom of our needs list. I mean we've seen about a trillion tightends come and go since Linehan took over. I have had enough of that.

I would love Owen Daniels, but there is no chance he leaves houston. I also like Scheffler.
