  • Danario Alexander get him!

Sure I think the rams should pick Suh with the first pick, and maybe a quarterback with the second. But at some point maybe with the third round pick the Rams need to absolutely draft Danario Alexander. I don't know why he is rated so low on the draft boards, but he would be the steal of this draft.

He has all the amazing measurables you'd want and the production to go with it. I know people are high on Arellious Benn and Mike Williams. He has first round talent and production, so its amazing he isn't being talked about.

Alot of people have them in their mock drafts. Though I have never watched him play, I hear nothing but good things. I myself am just not a fan of taking another young WR in this years draft. If we bolster out WR corp this year I would rather pick a Veteran somehow. I would actually just not get another WR at all.

I feel the same way. I think that we should try to get a TE rather than a WR.

Why Danario isn't rated as high:
        1. Knee Injuries (one of which he is suffering from now)
        2. Poor route runner.
        3. has trouble against the jam apparently.
        4. Many belive the offense he played in inflated his numbers.
        5. Lack of Deep Speed.

I love the guy but those issues (which i could look apst for the most part) knock him out of the talk of the top 5 of WRs this year. That coupled with his continuous knee injuries have me not wanting the Rams to take him (if at all) until the 6th round or later.

We have talented guys at receiver, we just lack experience, getting another talented, yet inexperinced guy at receiver won't help us much. If we go receiver it has to be a big, durable, productive guy or a big playmaker.

other than injuries, this guy has done it all.

If he played at Texas, Oklahoma, or USC everyone would call him a top 20 pick.

I don't know how anyone can question his speed, route running, or physicality.

He does more after the catch than any other WR in college this year, and thats one of the top things scouts look for.

I really think we should get this guy. He doesn't have spectacular speed, but he is huge at 6'5". I watched his highlights and he can really make defenders miss after the catch. I think this would be a steal in the 3rd or 4th round.

I watched a lot of Mizzou football this year, and Alexander was great. However, most of his production came off of screen passes and quick routes. Mizzou hardly threw the ball downfield, but Alexander did come up with an occasional deep ball. Overall, he didn't run many routes in college and along with his big knee issues (last year was his only healthy year in college) are why I wouldn't take him before the 5th round.

Alexander had a pretty unimpressive Senior Bowl week; I'm not sure I saw one positive review of his time there. To top it off, he can't participate in the Combine or at his pro day because of yet another knee procedure. The number of people clamoring for him reminds me of how popular Ramses Barden was at this time last year.

I don't know how you can combine Barden, who played at Cal-Poly, and wasn't an athelte, just tall -- with an atheltic Alexander playing in a legit football conference that he dominated.

If you watch the film, you will see he does have speed and quickness.
Also, he is strong where alot of tall WR's don't have the build.

                  He HAS AWESOME BALL SKILLS/HANDS.

He is built like TO with hands like Hakeem Nicks.

Obviously, his injuries are more concerning but he can do it all when healthy.

Read the post again - the only comparison I made was in terms of their popularity among Rams fans.
