  • Anquan Boldin for a 3rd?

According to NFL Network's Mike Lombardi, the Cardinals' asking price for Anquan Boldin is a third-round pick.
While Boldin is going on 30 and would likely require a pricey multi-year commitment, Arizona's demands appear to be plenty reasonable. Fellow trade candidate Brandon Marshall is roughly four years younger, but presents far more knucklehead factor, would ask for more money, and costs a first-round pick. The Cards will find plenty of suitors if Lombardi's report is true.
Would they trade Boldin in division is my question. Guy is a gamer who easily has 6-7 years left in him seeing that TO is still in the league at 37.

    Thoughts?

We obviously have the highest available compensation @ round 3.

Who knows maybe offer them a 4th round and Bulger?

IMO, no way they trade him to us. With Warner retiring, they've got to be a bit concerned about how long they're going to be able to hang on to that division title. At his age, a 3rd rounder is about right. I don't think he'll play for 6 years, but I suspect he'd be good for at least 4 (including the 2010 season), and I think he'd legitimately fill our need for #1 receiver. I just can't see the Cards pulling the trigger on that with a division rival.

Take the question mark off this, imo I would do this with no question. Boldin is a stud, would give us the big third down reliable target our qbs have been lacking.

No way they trade him in division though.

        Anquan Bolin Mistake
        by sosa39rams
This may be very late and all, but why didn't we go after Anquan Boldin?

I understand he was a division rival and it would have been hard to get him, but c'mon the Ravens got him for a 4th round pick. They guy IMHO is top 3 WR's in the NFL.

He is so tough, strong, fast and is a fantastic WR. I would of given up a 2nd for the dude. I also am aware that he needed to restructure a contract...correct?

Anyways, I would have LOVED for him to be here but I guess not.

        Boldin?
        by chiguy
It seems increasingly clear to me that Anquan Boldin won't be with the Cards next year. He's still under contract though, right? I wonder what it would take for the Rams to get him; and, what do you think of the idea? He's still relatively young and clearly a #1 caliber receiver. Big trades rarely happen in the NFL, but I wonder what it would take to make this work.

should the rams trade for boldin?

Reports are that the cards have reduced the asking price for boldin to a 2nd and 5th. Despite being in the same division should we try to work something?

What will it take for the Rams to get Boldin? Boldin and Avery actually sounds like a WR core to fear along with PUNISHING JACKSON.

ESPN - Wanting new deal, Cards WR Boldin asks for trade - NFL

I wouldn't mind trading for him to add some experience to our receiving corps...I'm sure it most likely won't happen but what are everybody's thoughts about this??
