    FA interests

    After reading some articles on nfl.com about FAs i would like to know who everyone would like to see in a Rams uniform next year.

    I personally would like Kevin Walter, Karlos Dansby and maybe Dunta Robinson, we definatelty have the cap room for a few big splashes

    Marques Colston. IMO he is the best WR available this offseason. He runs more of the route tree than Vincent Jackson and they are about the same size. His knee issues worry me but he has been able to stay healthy and it doesn't look like he has lost any speed.

    Why would the saints let him go? Drew Brees is a FA after the season and he isn't going anywhere. He either is going to get franchised tagged or get one of the most lucrative contracts in NFL history. Either way it would be hard to give him Sideny Rice Money or more. Saints also have other key free agents like Carl nicks who is one of the best guards if not the best guard in the league. I doubt the saints will give him the top dollar he deserves when they already have Jahri Evans the highest paid guard in the league, but you never know. Tracey Porter and Robert Meachum are also FA's who if not resigned the rams would be interested in.

    One huge stepping stone is the Rams lack of cap space this year. There definitely will be alot of personel change, but cutting guys like Jason Smith and Jason Brown will definitely leave some dead money. Demoff has been a pretty good cap guy so maybe he will give us some flexibility. Getting Colston and maybe Kalil would put a huge smile on sams face.

    Are we going to do anything in FA or what? We could have used Samuel, Smith, or Fancea and we have done NOTHING so far. I thought we were going to rebuild, not sit around and do nothing. The only thing we have done is cut Ike and that was a HORRIBLE decision!

    With FA just beginning I was sitting here daydreaming of the players I'd love to see become Rams, and it occurred to me that with the ownership situation up in the air, will the Rams even be able to spend top tier money to a top tier FA right now? Or is it all on hold til the ownership situation gets settled. Would Khan want someone else spending his money?
