  • Ndamukong Suh

Just imagine a rotational d-line with: Chris Long, Leonard Little, Adam Carriker, Cliff Ryan, Fred Robbins, and Ndamukong Suh.

That would just continue to stop the run+ put pressure on a QB. That would be amazing!

But imagine Sam Bradford, working with our offense and some possible added weapons.

    Which do you prefer?

    Re: Ndamukong Suh

I would prefer Bradford and newly added weapons.

If we get Ndamukong Suh, I do not want him in a rotational set-up. I want him in on every down, since he is the number 1 overall pick, and is supposedly a beast-like Warren Sap of the future.

Which means, Adam Carriker has really no one to rotate with. Rotate with Clifton Ryan? Robbins and Dorell Scott are already rotating with Ryan at the NT spot. No room for Carriker there.

If we signed Robbins to be a starter, we can basically say good-bye to drafting Suh.

      Re: Ndamukong Suh

I'd prefer Suh but if we have another huge losing season, then the DeSpags regime might go bye-bye. Like I said in previous threads, getting Bradford's only necessary IF we can get extra picks from Detroit or Tampa.

If only everyone understood how the Rams are trying to be long-term playoff contenders through seasons of sacrifices and our fans having to put bags on our heads rather than a quick, half-witted .400-.600 PCT team like the whiners.

        Suh!

If Bradford came with thenecessary weapons maybe but.. we don't get them we get bradford and that's all.. between the 2 I would rather get SUh and atleast help get the defence useful.. Bradford comming in and getting crushed doesn't help us.. even stafford had c. Johnson.. we don't have anything for bradford to excel with.. Get the defence and the offence will come..

lol its not gunna happen people....theyre not gunna make him the highest paid DT and hes a rookie....new ownership means new qb for spags and devaney too develop...it gives them time to saves their asses lol ...if they give 12 (or w.e) million to a rookie DT and he doesnt do well,....then bye bye spags n devaney.....and by the standards that rams fans have of D-players (aka carriker and C. long ..only until recently) ppl are gunna expect crazy imapct from a DT like 10+ sacks....and its not gunna happen... this regime has to develop a young QB its been long enough...

I still want Suh over Bradford
            by Bing69
I know ill get bashed for this but i really think Suh would be the better choice as the no.1 pick. Now that Carriker is gone, we can forget about that 'we've made 2 high defensive picks in the last 3 years,we have to draft Bradford ahhhhhh' thing. We only have Long now.

Lets think about our defensive line

            Long Ryan Robbins Little? Hall

That line aint gonna do very well now is it. Especially if Little doesnt come back. Now if we draft Suh it will look like this

            Long Ryan/Robbins Suh Little?Hall

Already looks more solid. Now what if we trade for Osi

            Osi Ryan/Robbins Suh Long

That line looks like it could cause trouble.

If we draft Bradford, sure the offense would improve slightly, or it could be just a dire. I understand the logic of picking Bradford, give us hope, a new face for the franchise etc. but Jackson is the face of our franchise. Maybe McCoy will be a wonderful hit (if we draft him)

This is just how i feel, and i can say honestly if we pick Bradford tomorrow i will not be happy! But i will support the lad, and hope he brings the business. I just want us to shun the media and experts by taking Suh and continue to build a good , talented, young base which will put in a good position for years to come

            Bradford of Suh ?
            by jerseyramsfan
After last season I wanted the Rams to finish near the bottom to have a shot at Sam Bradford. Well now a year later my wish for a franchise QB is a reality. But all I've been hearing about is how Suh is the best DT to come out in decades. Man now I'm really torn. Lets get some discussion going between the two players...

            Bradford vs. Suh
            by ramhard
I think this season is a great example of how drafting is as much about fit as it is about talent. There was a heavy debate on Suh vs. Bradford. Both are having great years so far. Suh has been downright amazing, and from a stat perspective, you could even argue that Suh is having a better rookie year at DT (he is a leader in many DT stats - e.g. 8th in league in sacks, leading all DT's in sacks, 1 interception and 1 fumble recovery for a TD as a DT), than Bradford is having at QB. Yet, the choice of Bradford was best for the Rams and Suh will be a beast for the Lions for years to come.

I see us getting Bradford, but there is an article on Suh over at espn, and man do I want this kid on our team. Character, physical traits, a winner, never ever satisfied with his skill set. I would be doing cartwheels if we called his name in April!!!
