  • Am I in the minority in this

I think I would rather have McKoy then Suh...especially if he proves himself over time before the draft

You are in the minority but it doesn't mean you are wrong.

I would not mind getting McCoy instead of Suh either. He definitely has a lot of potential, and I could see him fitting in with our system.

There have been so many rebutles to this argument already. There is no comparison. Suh is better in every way. About the only thing you can say for McCoy is he's more talkative than King Kong. Whoop-di-dam-do

Mccoy with 23 shows he hasnt spent his time in the gym like he should have.If Suh with 32 reps is going to have trouble with the bigger NFL guys what the hell is Mccoy going to do if his (only slightly faster) first step doenst work. I know strength isnt everything but for a Dline I think its important. We dont want another Dmarco Farr out there with his back to the center or guard pushing with his legs, when his so called quick first step didnt work, if anyone remembers that.

Just curious .. How is he supposed to prove himself "over time" before the draft? The combine is already history .. and it's unlikely he'll improve his bench press significantly in 7 weeks ..

I was wondering the same thing.

How can you have an opinion about one player over another if you dont even know their name?

I'm swear I am not making fun of you or anything because of your spelling of McCoy, I could care less about spelling on here (maybe just a typo)

However, in order to form an opinion of this kind, wouldn't you have seen his name on the back of his jersey enough to know how he spelled it?

Just makes me think that maybe you haven't seen him play that much.

Again don't get me wrong, i'm not criticizing your spelling

Plus I think the two are much closer than people think, I prefer Suh, but its just a preference.

I think out of the two McCoy and Suh, McCoy is the closest to becoming like a Glenn Dorsey. Now don't give me that rebuttal about Dorsey is playing out of system or whatever... by this I mean expected talent and production on the next level... SUH has a proven work ethic, Is a humble guy, his name means house of spears, and he can push a OU lineman into Sam Bradford and pwn him!
                      Discussion over ;)

In the NFL, you don't roll over guards that way unless their name is Dwayne White.

Quite frankly i just can't get on the Mccoy side of the fence...

I saw a guy that choose holes before the snap and exploded through them but routinely got knocked out of the play if he chose wrong. Him and Brian Price are very similar IMO so why isn't Price up for consideration with Mccoy. Is Price really that much worse then Mccoy. They seem to have extremely similar playing styles to me.

Just watch slips of both of them and come back and tell me what you think. Mccoy is a very good player but I DON'T want him with the first overall pick.

i agree if the rams dont pick Bradford....i would want them to pick Mccoy...spags made a note eariler that hed pick him, if ofourse the draft was when he made that statement....my opinion is that hell be more effective in the nfl

I have questions concerning McCoy that really bother me. First of all he didn't prepare himself for the combine. He had to know that SUH was his main competition for that 1st "big money" pick in the draft. He puts up 23 reps on the bench which is well below acceptable for a D-lineman. Huge question mark in my mind as to why he wasn't ready to throw up alot more than that. Just how serious did he take the combine? How serious is he about playing in the NFL? It is afterall a huge step from the college ranks into the professional level of football. Sorry but I would stick with Suh.
