Little’s visit rescheduled; Saints could be close on Hall
    By Jim Thomas
    St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Defensive end Leonard Little has been scheduled to wrap up his free-agent visit today with the New Orleans Saints. But Little, the St. Louis Rams veteran, never made it to New Orleans. His visit has been rescheduled, and it now looks as if the Saints are concentrating on trying to sign another Rams free-agent defensive end _ James Hall. Hall was scheduled to arrive in New Orleans today. At this stage in their careers, Hall is more of an every-down end than Little and the Saints are looking for a replacement for Charles Grant, who was released.

In another wrinkle of the uncapped year, teams that were among the conference semifinalists in the playoffs have restrictions on free-agent signings. The Super Bowl champion Saints can only sign one player at the moment, because they’ve lost only one player to free agency so far _ linebacker Scott Fujita went to Cleveland. League sources told the Post-Dispatch on Thursday that the Saints appear to be opting for the younger Hall over Little.

I'm not as worried about losing Hall as I would have been before the Robbins signing. And if this rumored Carriker trade includes Carter, I think the Rams DL would come out stronger even with the loss of Hall.
