  • Would you consider Terrell Owens?

I keep having this thought pop into my mind. It really makes sense IMO.

Owens is a shadow of his former self and really seems to have come to terms with it. That said, he still makes for a viable secondary option for any team, especially one lacking for playmakers like the Rams currently are.

There is a desperate need for a veteran receiver on this team if we indeed go into next season with a young buck like Bradford taking over at QB. His experience would be really beneficial as well to the rest of the recieving corps.

Avery, Burton and Amendola (2 years), Foster and Gibson (1 year) and Robinson (3 years) show this is a DANGEROUSLY inexperienced unit as a whole.

Owens will benefit from stepping into an offense where he can be considered the best available weapon. He plays alongside Avery, giving STL two capable starting receivers along with some dependable other options, in particular Robinson, Gibson and Burton.

I really think his "attitude" and "team cancer" moniker withers with age, and he could be a very good fit if WR isn't a direction we want to head towards in the draft.

T.O a Ram, 3 years ago i never would have thought it ... Really struggled with a mediocre QB in Buffalo cant see him doing much more here ... I'd rather have Holt back.

If my only two choices were signing Terrell Owens or switching the offense to a wishbone/option system, I'd say...

        NO TO T.O.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even if he doesn't start insurrections in the locker room, he will ask for more then he is worth. Plus he probably doesn't want to go to a losing team, remember the bills were supposed to turn it around last year, thats why they fired their coach after he started losing.

Not if we have a rookie QB.

TO will warp a rookie QB's mind.

No, the last thing a young team who needs to improve in many different positions needs is a cancer like TO.

TO as a player was amazing.
TO as a team-mate was... not.

                  I'd never want him around.

Besides... I hear he'll only sign with a team these days if they cut all the other WRs, run with 9 offensive linemen and throw the ball only to him 60 times a game.

Re: Would you consider Terrell Owens?

It seems you guys didnt get the memo that TO doesn't whine all day anymore and hasn't made a peep in the last two seasons... Get over it.

I wouldn't want him simply because he's not needed, i think he has something left to offer a team but should hop on board a team on the verge, not us.

I saw To still blowing by young guys this past season and his lack of production still tied our team best for receiveing touchdowns with 5. He alo suffered from poor qb play which he didn't complain about one bit.

Let's learn to adapt to new situations guys, and the new situation is, TO isn't the same big mouth.

                    that being said, MOVING ON

I for one would like to have him on the team, and even if he was having a mouth, Devaney and Spags said that they had built up a solid team (in the locker room) that they wouldn't be to picky on players attitudes this season.

On thing that was said last year about this team was how close they were in the locker room, even after losing 15 games, which speaks volumes as to how the coaching staff has these guys playing for eachother. Chances are that next year we will not have the best record, Max around 5-6 wins, how would TO handle that? My guess not very well.

He's worn out his welcome with four teams in the last seven years, he's going to be 37 this season, his skills have diminished, and he's still a polarizing figure. No thanks.

To be fair, TO wasn't too bad on the Bills, especially considering the level of QB play there...

That said, I'd prefer to develop the guys we have
